Midnight ran to his bed, he was shaking. He snatched up his phone and without thinking about it beforehand, he clicked on Nicks contact, and then on the calling option. The rings made him even more anxious. The pause which he thought was an answer only followed with another ring.
'Come on! Pick up!' His angry thoughts made him want to scream.
Finally a soft click made him ease. "Uh hello?"
"Nick." Midnight exhaled in relief. "Listen, where are you?"
He heard Nick sigh, then hum. "Uh about to go on my glorious trip for New Years with the guys. Why?"
"You can't go." He blurted out quickly. "You can't Nick."
"Um why?" 'God stop asking fucking questions!'
Midnight could feel his legs start to become weak. They were becoming gel. His hand could hardly hold up his phone to his ear. "Just listen to me damn it!" He yelled into the speaker.
"Okay okay." Nick sounded annoyed. "What's wrong?"
"You can't go on your trip because--because it's snowing! It's a blizzard outside!"
"I have snow tires Midnight. I told you this on the ride to my place. I'm safe."
"NO NO! Listen! You can't. Even with the tires it's still a risk!"
"It's really not." Nick sighed. "I have really good snow tires Midnight, I'll be fine."
Midnight didn't know what to do. He didn't know any other reason to use. There was nothing. 'Think Think!'
"Please Nick, you don't want to drive in this."
"Yeah well I am. Can't you live without me for a while? We're not attached by the hip or anything. Plus Levi will be on my ass if I don't go." He sighed. "I will be back as soon as I can, alright? I will call you as soon as I get back."
"Nick I--"
He hung up. The extended beep of someone hanging up hit his ears like a truck. He felt his throat dry so much it burned when he swallowed. His heart felt like it sank. 'Don't let me be right. I can't be right. The car crash isn't about him, it can't be. It's a coinsidence.'
But if it was. He didn't stop it.

Midnight was angry. He felt anger after the sadness blew away. Pulling at his curly hair at the stress. He paced around the room, his feet felt like weights. The air felt thick.
"Midnight." Dawn spoke as she knocked at his door. "MIdnight." She repeated.
"Go away." He snapped loudly.
She sighed at his stubborness. "Seriously let me in." Midnight still didn't want her to come in. He was busy. Well, busy being angry. Angry that Nick might get in a car crash and he knew it all along but didn't find out until now. "No."
"I'm coming in now." 'Great.'
Dawn turned the doorknob and Midnight heard it click. She looked stressed when she closed the door. She sat on the edge of his bed. "So, I can feel your anger."
"Yep."
"Why? Clearly you've been stomping for days." Her stare was intense. He almost thought it was going to kill him. He couldn't tell her. 'Why would I do that?'
"It's none of your buisness."
"Have you and Nick broken up?" She batted her eyelids and made a sad taunting face. Midnight froze to focus on his twin sister. "Why is it always about him? Nick this Nick that. Oh my god why does everyone keep talking about him?!" Midnight screamed. "It's getting annoying. It's enough that I can't stop thinking--" Midnight covered his mouth before he could continue.
