The drive home was quiet. A deathly quiet. One that loomed so many different emotions. Mostly from Nick because Midnight didn't know what to feel. Kurt had changed. Especally since he had last seen him. College, or whatever was after 'guardian highschool' made him an idiot.

Nick put his car into park, pulling Midnight away from his head. "Hm?"

"We're here." He sounded tired.

"How long has it been?" Midnight streched out his arms. Or as much as he could anyway. Nick opened the door, then curved over to open Midnights door. "About an hour."

Midnight stepped out of the car. The house was huge. Well, huge compared to his own house. It was white with blue roofs. Lights were on and it seemed his parents were probably home. Or sibling. Did he have siblings? Midnight couldn't remember. Nick closed the door behind him, jiggling his keys in his hand as the walked to the door. Midnight followed him until they reached the steps.

He felt a wave of warmth when he took his first steps into the house. It was a small box that cornered around into a small, bright yellow hallway. Nick took off his jacket and put it on the hanger. He looked back at Midnight. His eyes struggled to meet Midnights. "Um. Come with me."

Nick curved around to the stairs. "I'm home." He yelled down another hall, curving his head around the railing. A women stepped out from another doorway, holding a laundry basket. "Oh Nick! It's late." She glanced at Midnight, then back to Nick. "Whose this?" She smiled at him.

"Oh it's my friend, Midnight."

"Midnight. What a unique name." She sniffed and held out her hand. "It's nice to meet you." Midnight shook it with a faint smile. Her face suddenly faded when she leaned in and snuffed Nick. "Are you smoking again?" She asked sternly. "Nicolas Jen Alexander! I told you not to smoke anymore." Nick shuffled next to Midnight. He felt him shake. "God mom. Don't--I'm not smoking okay? It was--Noah. He had a cigarette and I left him at a party."

"Nicolas if you're lying-"

"I'm not alright?" He shook his head. "Midnight has to clean up here and--" he stopped. "He's going to sleepover."

"Did he ask his parents?"

Nick cleared his throat. "Yep. He had a fight with his stepmom and they said he could take a break away from home." He peaked at Midnight, with a "shut up." Stare.

"Oh. Okay." She nodded. "Have a good time. Behave." She pointed at her son, then walked back up the stairs. Nick was quiet for a moment, then he sighed. "Sorry. I made up a story."

"I know." Midnight said.

Nick didn't say anything else, he started up the stairs. They were made of rug with wood railings holding them together. He followed his friend up the stairs, eventually they reached a small hallway with four walls. The walls were white with dark brown wood floors. Midnight looked for a minute, untill looking back over to see Nick at a open door. "You coming Sky Kid?"

Midnight smiled shyly. He felt his cheeks heat. "Um. Yeah sorry."

"It's fine." He folded his arms. His leather jacket creaked. 'Holy shit is he so..' "My house is pretty big. Better than my old house anyway."

"What was your old house like?" He asked softly. Nick seemed to freeze at his question. He leaned off of the open doorframe. His arms crinkled. "Uh well..I.." He bit and held his bottom lip with his teeth. "It wasn't the greatest." And that was all he said until the silence was just useless. Midnight walked up and followed him in. His room was not neat, but it wasn't bad either. Blankets were messily tossed on the bed towards the edge, pillows were wrinkled, but still neatly placed. Of course this wasn't worse than what he a had seen. His room was messier than Midnights, but that just made him..Nick. Nick was behind him, shutting the door. "Uh I totally forgot..." Nick started, moving to be at his dresser. "You..need clothes don't you?"

"I can just stay in this.." Midnight said quietly. And it was the truth, if he had to he would. Nick shook his head, opening a drawer. "Look you can just..wear something of mine."

His heart lurched. 'Wait what?' Nick was already peeling away the clothes in his drawer. Midnight was frozen in place, party being cold from being outside and partly from what he said. Eventually he took out a shirt, then moved to a lower drawer, taking out a pair of pants. Piling them on top of each other, he pushed the pile towards Midnight. "Here."

"What?"

"Wear these. Trust me they're clean and they're too small for me so..you can change into them if you want." Nick shifted his look towards a door near his bed. "You can also take a shower..that's if you want. The bathroom is open."

That did not help Midnights heart, it was beating even louder. 'Why is this happening?' But he did need a shower. It would relax him, hot water, quiet. He nodded. "Yeah. Sure. Thanks for..this."

"Of course. You're my friend." Midnight let a smile creep from the inside of his head before taking the pile, dropping his phone on the bed, then to the bathroom door. When he was right in front of it, he looked back at Nick. "Don't you dare look through my phone." His tone was a combination of joking and serious. Nick held his hands up. "I won't."

"Okay." Midnight turned the knob, making his way in with slow footsteps. Closing the door, he let out a big sigh. What happened with Kurt, waiting outside in the cold, that vision that made no sense at all. It was all so much, too much.

Midnight looked at himself in the mirror, briefly. His face looked sunken in and he did look tired.

He started undressing with his hoodie, which did stick to his arms until he used a little pull to get it off, then his thin black t-shirt. He shakily removed his bottoms. Just a flash of memory of the incident made him nervous. Still, he took off his clothes, putting them in a small, messy pile next to the shower.

After turning on the shower to a perfect heat, he stepped in.

The hot water hit his curls and flattened them immediately, running down his back. His shivering spine started to relax. His nerves at what happened with Kurt leaving. Kurt was drunk, that much was obvious, still what he did wasn't..right. Midnight heard from others that people tell the truth when they're drunk. Maybe what he said was what he thought was the truth. But it wasn't to him.

This chapter is from october but I lost part of it so I had to rewrite it, which took a while since I was focusing on the future stuff. I currently have at least 40 drafts for the future. I promise I will keep working on the other stories.

Anyway here it finally is! Hope you enjoy!
