"We searched everywhere"

"What did the cops tell?"

"Nothing. They said they were with him the whole time but after a while he went missing"

"That doesn't make any sense"

"I know! And Suga hyung, you told he went to meet some girl right? Can you maybe describe her more?"

"For the last time Taehyung I didn't get to see her. She was in school uniform is all I know"

"Hyung!? What about Haylee. Hoseok hyung called out her name. I'm sure she has something to do with this" With the mention of her name my heart stopped beating. Everything around me started to seem so unreal and I wanted to just dig myself a grave. I was ashamed.

I had let her escape.

What do I tell them?

"Where is she? I haven't seen her from morning" Taehyung asked.

I wanted to answer so badly. But I just lowered my head in shame.

"Let's search for her first. I need an explanation"

"NO YOU CANT -"

I was ashamed of myself even more for interrupting so rudely. But there was no use. I know they can't get to her. She has escaped. She can't be brought back so easily. And I hated everything about her. She was the missing piece to the puzzle.

"Harin?" Taehyung called, with a huge question mark written on his face, who wasn't able to analyze the worry on my face.

"I-I had met her-and I -she escaped from school" I explained and everyone narrowed their eyes on me. I felt horrible.

"What? How?"

"Wait a minute. What are we talking about guys? Firstly, she is Jin hyung's sister. Why would she ever try hurting him? Second, she is just a high school student. I don't think she will ever want to commit a murder"

"Maybe she didn't do the killing, Jungkook. Maybe she is the murderer's accomplice" Suga said.

A.C.C.O.M.P.L.I.C.E. I hated that word. It disgusts me.

"Yea and why are you supporting her? Don't you trust Hoseok hyung, Jungkook?"

"No, it's not that. It's just - urgh-never mind" he trailed off, rubbing his hands behind his neck in frustration.

"Did she talk to you about something?" Suga asked, curious.

"Yea, she told me she didn't do it and that she has no idea why Hoseok did such a thing"

"Then why would she just run away from here"

"I'm not sure if I should take her word. But she told me she was scared to face the school alone. She was trembling I think. And when I met Haylee, her knees were shivering, Taehyung. Maybe she was telling the truth-"

Jungkook was staring at me as if he was looking through my soul. A concerning yet doubtful expression was protruded on his face towards me?

"NO!"

Taehyung yelled at my face and I flinched in shock.

"Let's report her to the cops for now"

"Like that will do any good" Jungkook whispered under his breath. Even though he was trying to keep it low, everyone could hear him quite well enough. But he didn't care for that matter. Jungkook knew the cops won't do any good. He's been living with one from so long.
