The address led me to a two-storey house with large glass windows that can be seen even from the dark brown vinyl fence enclosing the house.

He really is rich.

Dex's brother opened the gate and smiled widely when he saw me.

"Welcome." Bati niya.

"Uh-hi?" I awkwardly wave at him.

He even looks spectacularly good in his black buttoned-up shirt and dark denim jeans. Unlike me, much unprepared.

He chuckled and gestures for me to follow him inside kaya sumunod ako ng tahimik sakanya habang tinitignan ang labas ng kanyang bahay.

The car Dex used when he went to Children's Village is parked in the garage area.

They can't see me like this. I'm not presentable for meet-the-parents thingy.

"Uh, you alright?"

"I'm not sure if I should be here right now. I don't want your parents to think anything bad or something." Excuse ko.

Dex is.. is.. I still don't know, but I don't want to give his parents a heart attack.

"You're worried about meeting our parents?"

He winked at me. "Don't worry, this house is mine. Our parents have their own house and it's kinda far from here. Come on, the patient is waiting."

I'm having a mixed feelings about that though I'm kinda relieved that his parents are not here, but at the same time, I'm feeling sad about Dex. Shouldn't he be with his parents instead?

Minimalism meets Moroccan style.

Moroccan style by nature is heavily patterned and intricate. Quite the opposite to a minimalistic approach. However, his designer made a good balance out of this combination. It's perfect.

The open tread wooden staircase runs directly off the home entry hall, and passes by the living room on its left.

"He is sleeping in the attic bedroom. He already claimed that room, so yeah." Sabi niya habang paakyat ng hagdanan.

"How long is he staying with you?" I curiously asked.

Dex and I never really talked about our relationship with our family or more about our personal lives, but we're transparent about it. Hindi naman namin tinatago iyon sa isa't-isa, it just comes out and discovered naturally. And since I'm here, at very generous naman ang Kuya niya ay sinamantala ko na ang pagkuha ng impormasyon.
