Prince's POV

I really didn't get the concept of school. I was bored sitting in class. Pretending to listen but not really paying attention.

"So what are your thoughts Prince?" Ms. Jefferies asked.

"Thoughts?" I question.

"About the passage." She replied.

"Umm I think the passage was great." I replied.

I heard a couple kids snickered.

"Next time pay attention" Replied Ms. Jefferies.

"He thinks he's better than everyone." "Since he has rich and famous parents." Replied this guy name Joey.

"Bruh you don't even know me, so fall the fuck back."

"Mr. Lyon watch your mouth." Replied Ms Jefferies.

"He hates his parents." Another kid comment. "Didn't you hear his diss record bruh?"

I was trying to remain calm but my anger was getting the best of me.

"Listen no one knows what it's like having famous parents." "And being in their freaking shadow." I lashed out.

"You know what I'm outta here." I grabbed my books.

"Mr Lyon where are you going?

Tiana's POV

I was happy Hakeem agreed to go to couples therapy.

"Welcome Ms. Brown and Mr. Lyon." "I'm Dr. Clayton."

"Nice meeting you, we both replied shaking her hand as we took a seat on the couch.

"So what brings you two here?" Asked Dr. Clayton.

"I feel like Hakeem and I have issues in our relationship that we haven't really worked out." I replied.

"And Mr Lyon do you feel the same?" Asked Dr. Clayton.

"Yeah I guess." "Replied Hakeem.

"You guess?" Dr Clayton questioned.

"Hakeem you seem unsure of things and why you're here exactly." "Care to elaborate on how you feel?" Asked Dr. Clayton.

"I just feel like she's not loyal to me and that she cares about her career more than she care about me." Hakeem replied.

"Is that true Ms. Brown?"

"My career does means a lot to me but my love for Hakeem is much deeper but I feel like he doesn't respect me at all and I always felt like a second choice to him so yes there were times where I put my career before my relationship." I replied.

"You said you felt like a second choice to him?" "What do you mean by that?" Question Dr. Clayton.

"Well Hakeem and I have been off and on for years." "We've been through a lot." "I had to deal with the different women in and out of his life." "He almost married another girl." "He even proposed to her on my tour."

"And how did you feel about that?" Dr. Clayton asked.

"I was heartbroken of course." "I had to remain strong and just focus on my career."

"After hearing that Hakeem, how does that make you feel?" Asked Dr. Clayton.

"Well first of all she wasn't honest when we first met." "She had a gf on the side." Replied Hakeem.

"Okay and you had a side piece too" I interrupted.

"Ms. Brown." "Hakeem allowed you to speak, so give him the same respect." Ms Clayton replied.

"Okay Continue.

"And I was still a playboy at the time, so I wasn't interested in nothing too serious with her I guess." "I was still figuring me out."

"And when did you realize you wanted something serious with her?" Dr. Clayton asked.

"When we would create music." "I feel like me and her had a connection and I didn't want that with anyone else." "She cared for my daughter and accepted her as her own." "But then there's her career." "I just feel like her career will always mean more to her." "She turn down my marriage proposal for her career."

"Is that true Ms. Brown?" Asked Dr. Clayton.

"Yes I did because I was torn." "I really do love him, but he doesn't respect me at all." "He has serious anger issues." "He takes his anger out on me and say very hurtful things."

"Why do you take your anger out on her Mr Lyon?" "I just feel like she doesn't understand me, and every time me and her have a problem she's so quick to leave." "We survived a major shooting." "I didn't know how to cope, so I turn to alcohol." "That was the only way I knew how to deal with things." "Instead of her just asking how I feel, she just wanted me to be better and I didn't know how."

"Well our time is up." "See you guys this time next week." Replied Dr. Clayton.

The car ride was silent. I finally spoke.

"So you don't think I'm loyal to you Hakeem?"

"To be honest T" "I don't" replied Hakeem
