Hakeem's POV
I went and took my seat. Bella sat between Tiana and I. I guess she could pick up on the tension. Seems as if the awards were dragging. I desperately wanted the entire thing to be over with. Finally they got to our category.
"Best collab goes to, Hakeem Lyon and Tiana Brown!" The announcer replied.
Tiana and I walked on stage to accept our award obviously putting on fake smiles.
"We just wanna thank our family for supporting us and also to our kids, Bella and Prince you guys mean the world to us." I replied.
"We wanna thank the fans as well." Tiana responded.
We quickly walked offstage. Tiana was obviously ignoring me.
"You guys wanna take a quick photo?" The camera man asked.
"No not right now?" Responded Tiana.
"Come on, you guys are Takeem." "Do it for the fans."
"I said not right now." Tiana walked off.
The awards were finally over. Tiana and the kids left with our driver Jacob and I rode with my parents.
"So are you gonna tell us what's going on baby?" Asked Cookie.
"I really don't want to talk about it but I probably should." I replied.
"Me and Tiana are just fighting again. "I saw her talking to Blake and I just lost it I guess."
"Boy you and her are worse than me and your Mama." Lucious laughed.
"Shut up Lucious." Replied Cookie. "Maybe there's a deeper issue there." Cookie suggested.
"Maybe." "I do love her Ma, but I feel like I can't trust her." "And to be honest I don't think I truly forgave her for cheating on me with that India chick back in the day." "And then there's us losing our daughter." "Maybe that's why I'm always angry." I responded
"Listen if your father and I can work through our problems then you and Tiana can too." "You guys just need to learn how to be a team." Cookie replied.
"Idk Ma." "I do want my family but maybe me and her just aren't meant to be.
