Joey's POV

The guilt was killing me. I should have never listened to X. Yeah Xavier is my cousin and all and I wanted revenge for my uncle Shine as well but I couldn't help but to feel guilty. An innocent guy was killed. Caden didn't deserve to die but anyone that is a Lyon or rolls with the Lyon is an easy target. Xavier set this entire thing up after learning from the streets that Luscious was responsible for his father's death. I never met my uncle Shine but heard wild, crazy stories about him. I kept replaying the entire thing in my mind.

Flashback

"So Prince Lyon goes to your school and he's in in your class right? Question Xavier."

"Yeah why?" I asked.

"Because his Grandpa, you know Luscious Lyon, is responsible for the death of my Pops."

"Luscious Lyon had something to do with Uncle Shine being murdered?" I questioned.

"Yeah nigga, get on board." Replied X

"Wow are you serious?" I question.

"Yeah, so here is the plan." Said X

"Plan?" I question.

"Nigga are you dumb?" "Yes plan."
"So here is what you're going to do." "I've been watching the little homie Prince for a minute now." "He sometimes visit that park in our neighborhood." "He usually there on like a Thursday." "So this is what I want you and your little homies to do." "Once he's alone I want y'all to jump him and steal his chain."

I listened carefully as X was detailing his plans to me.

"While y'all are jumping him, I will pretend like im coming to save the defenseless nigga." "And I'll have my 9 millimeter to make things seem believable." "Once you see the gun, you and your crew take off."

"And then what are you gonna do?" I questioned.

"Introduce the little homie to my gang and use him for my personal agenda." "If things go right, homie will live to see another day, but if things go left, well you know how that story goes." Replied X.

"I don't know about this X." "What if I go to jail?" I worried.

"Stop being a little bitch." Replied Xavier

"Dude Grandpa killed my Pops."

"So what are we gonna do?" "Murder the kid." I worried.

"Nah that's too easy." Xavied grinned

"I need another bait." "What about his sister, she goes to school with y'all right?" Asked Xavier

"Yeah but I don't know much about her, other than she hangs out with this dude name Caden." I replied.

"Caden?" the dude that plays sports. Questioned Xavier.

"Yeah." I simply replied.

"Too bad he's befriending the enemy." replied X.

"Here's what I want you to do," I want you to steal Caden's jacket." Said X.

"Wow how gangsta, I'm stealing homie's jacket." I said sarcastically.

"It's part of the plan nigga, keep up."

"Steal his jacket and wear that same jacket when you and your crew jump Prince." Then return it to him." "Be discreet with this shit." "Mention this to no one." "Not even to your little homies." "And that's an order." Said X

I was silent.

"Do I need to remind you how I operate" X replied pulling out the 9.

"No, I'm onboard." I replied

"Good." X replied with a smirk
