[91]

[Jin]

I held a cup of coffee in each of my hands as I took a turn to Taehyung's room. I paused when I saw Jimin sitting in front of the door, his head in between his knees and his back trembling. I ran towards him and set the coffee cups down on the floor next to us. Bending down to my knees, I rubbed his back gently, "What happened?"

He lifted his head to reveal his red, tear stained cheeks, "Jin?"

I nodded and sat down fully, "Can you tell me what happened?"

He sniffled and his breath was laborious, "I-I know what I did was wrong, I know that!"

He began hitting himself in the head with the palm of his hand, "Stupid, Stupid, stupid..!"

I quickly grabbed his hand so he wouldn't injure himself, "Jimin, stop! What happened?"

He continued to cry and he shook his head, "He-He doesn't want me anymore,"

I blinked and loosened my tight grip on his wrist, "Who?"

He closed his eyes tightly and tears spilled onto his pink cheeks, "Tae, he doesn't want me.."

I grabbed his cheeks softly so he would look at me with rapt attention, "Stop."

He cried for a few more seconds before stopping, leaving him sniffling and hiccuping quite pitifully, "Whether he wants you or not is not important. You are fine without him."

He closed his eyes I saw him biting his bottom lip, trying to hold back tears, "It just hurts to remember how close we were. How important and vital we were to each other."

I nodded, "I know you may not know this, but after everything has settled, it will be okay."

He shook his head and grabbed my hands from his cheeks, a look of anger sprouting in his eyes, "It's never going to okay, Jin! I'm nothing and the only reason that you're something is because your scent is gone! If you had your scent, you would be trash, just like me!"

His words hurt me, they stabbed me in the heart a billion times.

But hurt people, hurt people.

"Jimin," I put my hand that was warmed by the coffee on his cheek, a small, pained smile on my face, "Society may think we're trash and that we don't even deserve to live, but.. I'm not society. You're not society."

"We are us, and no one can change that," the anger that laced his knitted brow faded away slowly, "and we can never conform to what society wants us to be. Never."

"So if you think you're trash because of what those around you have told you, you're not." I let my thumb rub against his smooth skin, "You're Jimin."

We stared into each other's eyes before his rested his forehead on my chest, which I welcomed, "I love you, Hyung,"

He chuckled and patted his back lovingly, "I love you too, my Chimmy,"

He wiped his face on my shirt, which I would have normally scolded him for but instead, I smiled and let him rest. He lifted his head, "Hyung, can I borrow your phone?"

My eyebrows furrowed, "What? Why?"

"I need to text someone," I could sense that he didn't want me to ask any further, so I didn't. I pulled my phone out from my back pocket and handed it to him.

He looked at the small machine with a smile before looking back up at me gratefully, "Thank you,"

I pushed myself off of the floor and offered him a hand, "You're welcome."

He slipped his hand into mine and I helped him stand up. Walking at a fast pace, Jimin slowly disappeared with my phone into the hospital. I grabbed the two cups of coffee from the floor and walked into the room where Taehyung quietly resided with a thoughtful expression on his face. I smiled, "Hey, Tae,"

He eyes met mine briefly, not moving his head, before looking back out of the window. I inwardly rolled my eyes but kept he smile on my face, "So, you've regained your memories?"

He didn't respond. I sat down in the chair that was on my right, putting down the two cups of coffee on the beige nightstand, "So are you just ignoring me or—"

"Hyung," he interrupted sternly, "I love one person, I had that person, I lost that person, and the one chance that I had to get him back, I let him go. So I just want to be alone right now, okay?"

I quietly nodded, "Okay."

[Jimin]

I unlocked his phone with the the numbers 96753943342637663 as I walked through the long, winding halls of the hospital, trying to find the exit.

I scrolled through Jin's contacts until I found, "Jungkookie:)". I smiled at my success. I tapped his contact and began typing my message.
