[Taehyung]
The instant I walked into Jimin's house, I could sense something different. There was a flowery scent that somehow seemed to oppress me and my movements even though it was such a sweet and nice smell.
"Tae?" Asked Jimin's mom with a small voice, and I turned around to face him.
"Oh, Hello, Mr. Park!" I greeted with a forced smile, this scent weighing down on my heart even more with every breath I took.
Mr. Park was a very nice man and was the one who gave me my nickname 'Tae' instead of 'taehyung' three years prior. I like it quite a bit. At the moment, he had black hair, but he has tendencies to just randomly dye it if he feels like it. He looked almost exactly like Jimin except some subtle differences, like Jimin's large, almost black eyes compared to his chocolatey almond ones. His stature was larger than Jimin's though, but Jimin still has three to four years more to grow. Actually, I learned today in class omegas don't grow to be large people, but I pushed the mundane thoughts to the back of my head.
"You can't be here right now, Tae, Jimin's sick." Mr. Park caught my shoulders with his small hands. The petite size of his hands amazed me, they were smaller than mine and he's a grown man while I'm only fifteen. And I know I'm still gonna keep growing.
"He's sick..!?" My eyes were wide and I was genuinely surprised. In the three years I've known Jimin, he's never gotten sick. Well, me neither, but that's not the point.
He ushered me out of the door with a semi-tight grip, "Yes, he's very sick and that's why you can't be h—"
He had almost successfully kicked me out of his house before a tired groan sounded from behind us. We both turned our heads to see Jimin standing in the door way without a shirt and some blue basketball shorts on, his ribcage poking out subtly through his skin. How can he be sick?
He looks anything but sick.
He looks amazing, even. A flushed tint enveloped his whole body, his skin looking a little pink and more plump. His small body pleaded me to wrap my arms around him and his beautiful hair seemed to be absolutely perfect, not one strand out of place. He had an arm wrapped around his stomach in an unusual way, but I didn't pay attention to it. Neither of us said a word. I admired his frail and petite body, whilst he just looked at me with a blank facial expression until his mother's hands were on my shoulders, pushing me out of the house.
I didn't resist, considering that this wasn't my house and I had no right to talk back to an adult anyways, omega or not (unlike my mother's teachings). Mr. Park, Euijin, went outside with me too and closed the door behind him. I continued to stare at Jimin until the door was completely shut, "Taehyung, Jimin is sick. You have to leave."
My eyes now looked to Mr. Park and his chocolatey ones, "But Jimin doesn't look sick at all. Actually, he looks amazing!"
He bent down a little more to be eye to eye with me, "That's his sickness,"
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I continued to blatantly question Mr. Park's reasoning, "That's the weirdest sickness ever,"
He nodded in response and continued to try and explain the situation to me, his plump lips forming a straight line when he was done, "I know, and since it's his first 'sickness', his pheromones are especially strong, so it'll affect small betas like you too."
I still didn't completely understand, but I knew that I should leave and that I wasn't particularly welcomed at the moment. I nodded and smiled toothily, not letting the small amount of sadness affect my emotions, "Okay, I'll come back over in a few days to see if he's better!"
"TAEHYUNG!" Jin's voice screamed from behind me, snapping me out of my daydream that was triggered by these wondrous scents.
I shook my head to make sure that my mind was cleared of any past events, "Shit, sorry."
Jin's hand was still holding onto my shirt so he wouldn't be lost in this abyss of humans, "No, it's not that! I can sense Jimin, in that room in the back!"
His bony finger pointed to the back of the rave, and there was a door that was cracked open. I nodded and swam through the people, sometimes even violently shoving because some of them were touching places that they shouldn't be touching. I could sense Jimin's scent from inside the room as well and that made my feet lighter and quicker.
Once I had gotten to the door, Jin's hand let go of my shirt and when entered the room together. My hands cupped over my mouth at the dreadful scene.
There lay Euijin sprawled out on the floor, his naked body looking almost white. Bruises and scratches were peppered all over his skin, his arms, his legs.. everywhere.
Mr. Park.. No, Euijin..
There was a woman laying beside him that was in the exact shape as my beloved "second mother". Then there was a man who was rocking himself back and forth, twitching crazily.
Finally, Jimin. A terrified yet tense expression had taken over his face, which almost killed me. There were bruises on his wrists but a small looking girl and a thin blanket covered the rest of his body, but I could assume that he was heavily damaged as well.. physically and mentally.
Jungkook and another man were in the room, their alpha scents creating a thin envelope of pheromones over the omegas, explaining why I couldn't find Jimin so easily. The large man was on the floor, trembling as he cradled his arm. Jungkook towered over everyone in this room, but I sensed that all his malice was aimed at the man on the floor.
"Jimin?" His eyes flickered to me and once they fully accepted my identity, his terrified eyes softened.
"T-Tae.." he stuttered and I saw his grip around the girl loosen, revealing his boney sternum and his blue, bruised abdomen.
His face was strained, trying to get up but his body not listening. I could see everything on his face. His pain. His struggles. His trauma.
He continued to try and get up, failing every time, so he didn't see me slowly walking towards him and squatting down to his level.
Once we were eye to eye, he finally saw that I was in front of him and he just stared at me.
His dark brown eyes reminded me of that time when we were kids.
The time where we were naive.
The time when we never even thought that these past two days would even exist.
And I wanted to let his eyes seep into mine until we fuzed together, becoming one.
And I continued thinking these thoughts until the most heart wrenching sound echoed throughout the concrete room with dim, sober lighting.
He sobbed.
[author notes]
Ugh I'm sorry, I really wanted to write more for this chapter, but I've promised myself to not write more than 1100 words.
BUT LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT CHAPTER!
Because that's when the angst actually comes...
