Fixing the cuff links of my suit, I sighed, something I always do when Taehyung is involved. Even though we were born from the same blood, my father was the second born son while his father is the first born. Those in the Kim family are to serve and protect the firstborn, that's how it's been since the beginning.
I essentially have no choice but to follow every order of Kim Taehyung, my cousin. Once I had smoothed down any sort of wrinkle in my black suit, I left my apartment, grabbing my phone and six dollars.
To protect Taehyung, the sole reason why I was born, I was bred heightened senses to protect him. But my senses weren't just heightened, they were insanely heightened. Although I'm just a beta, I have senses that could rival the incarnation of Luna herself, or at least that's what my mother tells me. So once I was outside, I felt all things around me. The bristling branches in the faint wind, the glimmering sun in the sky, and the scent of blood. I don't know what Jungkook smells like, but with the amount of time Taehyung spent with Jimin, I could pick his up in an instant. Which is what I did. In the middle of the city, in the alpha suburbs, I picked up a trail and felt that he was moving. Quickly.
I groaned at the fact that I had to go to the alpha suburbs, especially on such a busy day for these putrid alphas. I rolled my eyes and began running towards Jimin who was only twenty miles away. Stealthily and quietly, I was trailing them from behind in just a matter of seconds. They were all in a car but I was following steadily. Jungkook and Jimin were in the back seat of the black car, Min Yoongi, heir to a grand electronics company, was in the front seat. With my vision, I could see blood stained on the collar of Jungkook's shirt.
That's where that scent came from.
From the direction they were going for the past minute or two, I could see that they were heading to the venue at the church. The amount of traffic around the venue was so congested that Yoongi, Jimin, and Jungkook had to park around two blocks away. They continued to walk, Jungkook and Jimin walking with a fair amount of distance between them and Yoongi even farther with his hands in his pockets.
The streets were awfully crowded today. Probably because of Jeon Yein's death.
They all entered the venue and after a few minutes, to be cautious, I entered as well. People were surrounding one man in a bustling crowd. Slowly peering over the heads of some vicious reporters, I saw Jeon JongKook, Jungkook's father, standing in the middle of the crowd with a perplexed expression.
"I-I assure you! I have no correlation with the incident that—"
A violent reporter pushed her tape recorder in his face, pushing other reporters out of the way as she did so, "Then why is there no remorse?! Although you claim to have been here at the venue, you could have easily hired anyone to do the horrid deed!"
Jongkook was surprised, the look not supporting his argument, "That-That is unthinkable, how could I ever—"
I rolled my eyes and sniffed the air to do the task that was assigned to me. The scent that was mixed with blood and chestnut was slowly fading into the plethora of other scents. Since every one was so entranced by the gossip, there was no one stopping me, nor the three I've been following, from heading into the bride's room. I headed in the direction, following the scent. Once I had made my way to the bride's dressing room, I placed my hand on the doorknob and twisted it, revealing one figure.
