Chapter 8 ✝

"I believe there's a purpose behind it." Taehyung said.

"A purpose? What like saving the world?" i asked, sarcasm clear in my words.

Taehyung looked at me with a serious face, "Hye Jin, we must find out what is happening with us, i think your mother's death is related to this."

The whole purpose of coming to seoul and finding taehyung is changed. Now i gotta find why i have such mysterious powers and what's the 'purpose' behind it. Oh god.

"Taehyung, why do you think dad never came back home? Never contacted you, me or mom? Never looked back once?"

"He must have a reason Hye jin, and may be it's related too?"

"You know what, this is fucking with my head Taehyung, i gotta go." I got up from the couch and made my way to the door.

"No hye jin, i dont think it's safe, now they know you too, how are you going to fight them?" Taehyung asked, clearly worried about me.

"what do you want me to do then? Chicken out? Go back to busan? And what if they're there too? Or do i stay with you? Are you gonna protect me my "Brother" ?" i asked, i was so pissed and i took it all out on taehyung. Great.

"I'll take you home." he said while looking down at his shoes.

We both start walking towards the road. I feel bad for talking to him like that. "Hey, um, I'm sorry" i said a little embarrassed.

He looked at me and smiled, "That's alright, I know you, you shout like that when you're worried, but you dont mean it."

He still remembers?

"Why didn't jimin come home while we were at the apartment?" i asked, gotta keep the conversation going.

"Jimin goes for dance practice every evening, he likes dancing may be thats why he was late, or may be he's busy flirting with girls, not sure" Taehyung said and chuckled a little.

"wow is jimin a playboy?" i asked while laughing. Just then i got a call. It was from my aunt. "Just a minute, i gotta take this call." Taehyung nodded.

"Hey aunt, how are you?" i said as i picked up the call.
"I'm fine honey, did you find him?"

That's the first thing she asked, well i cant tell her what's going on here, i can't make her worried.

"umh, i shall tell you everything later tonight?" i said just so i could escape the situation.

"Oh no, i just wanted to tell you that if you find him, don't kill him okay? I don't want you to go to jail, i can't lose my precious baby" she said in the most dramatic way, aunt's always been dramatic.

I look at taehyung and he's patiently waiting there for me, in the cold, i smiled a little.
"I dont think that'll be needed anymore, aunt" i said while smiling to myself.

"Oh is it?" her way of speaking changed, she was a little too serious.

Anyways it's too cold for taehyung to be waiting like that.

"well, i think i gotta go aunt,I'm gettin a little late, shall call you back, bye!"
I said and disconnected the call.

I walked back to taehyung and we start walking again "Who was it?" he asked.

"It was my aunt, my mom's sister. I used to stay with her for two years after i lost mom." i said

He just nodded and we continued walking.

"Taehyung, i think we should find dad." i said, and even i dont know why'd i say such a thing so suddenly. I wasn't planning to say that.

"We will Hye jinnie, don't worry"
Hye Jinnie? Ahh, i used to call him tae tae and he called me hye jinnie. The memories!

We were almost near my hotel, "You're staying in this hotel?" he asked, a little surprised. "Yeah why?

"This hotel is a little expensive, who is providing for you?" he asked "Oh my best friend, min hani! She's providing, she's very rich" i say happily.

"And yoongi wouldn't even give me a cup of coffee for free." He said and i burst out in laughter.

"I like Yoongi's personality already, no drama just being straight forward" i said and taehyung agreed with me.

We reached the hotel and he left after i came inside the hotel.

I can't even call hani and tell her stuff because I'm confused myself, and if i cant explain her she'll definitely tell me to come back. I'll just text her.

Me: Tried finding Taehyung, couldn't meet him today, gonna try again tomorrow, too tired to call Hani, goodnight love you

Hani: Don't worry babe, you can do it, Fighting! Love you more <3

I feel so bad lying to her but i have no choice, "I'll tell you everything once i figure this out Hani, i promise" i say to myself and go to bed.

*Taehyung's POV*

I came back home after dropping Hye jin at her hotel. I try to lie down but the area near my stomach hurts bad, i lift up my shirt and see there's cut on my stomach.

I treat the wound with the first aid kit in my room, I'm used to it, been fighting people for more than two years now. Just then the front door unlocks.

"Hey bro!" Jimin shouts from the living room, i quickly cover the wound and wear my shirt again. I go out of the room to see him

"Hey, how was your day?" i ask and see if we have something to eat in the fridge. "It was pretty good, also i bought us food, there you go" he said and passed me the food.

"Oh hey, i totally forgot, did you meet Hye jin? She came over the café and asked me about you. Why didn't you ever tell me you had a childhood best friend, you'd lost as a child"

I spit out the water i was drinking all over the kitchen counter. Childhood FRIENDS? ME AND HYE JIN?

"Dude you okay?" Jimin asked. "Yeah yeah I'm alright, i, uh, i didn't tell you because i didn't wanna bother you with my childhood tragedies haha yeah."

"I'm disappointed in you tae, i tell you everything about me and you don't. Am i not your friend?"

Wow, the mochi is sad now. What have you done hye jin.

"Noooo jimin, i didn't mean to I'm sorry, let's go eat now shall we?"
I make up the mood and we go eat.

After eating, I change into more comfortable clothes and go to bed.

"Tae tae!!" everything is blur, i see a woman.

"Yes mom!" mom? Is she my mom? I see a child running towards the woman.

The woman holds the child in her arms and says "Leave"

I hear muffled screams and everything goes black.

I wake up in cold sweat, i didn't see this dream since i left seoul. Is it starting again?
