Chapter 29 ✝

But this time, i had answers.

*HYE JIN'S POV*

Yoongi and hani just left for their date. Taehyung called me earlier today and said he wanted to talk, he seemed very serious and i was worried.

We were waiting for yoongi and hani to go on their date so we could talk. Chaerin, jin, taehyung and i had decided to meet at taehyung's place.

Now that they both left, i decided to leave for taehyung's place too. I decided i would talk to jin about jungkook today. After a while, i reached and everyone was already there.

They all looked very tensed and i could sense the tension in the air. I sat down beside taehyung and cleared my throat.

"Is everything okay?" i asked and taehyung didn't look at me, he continued to look on the floor.

Taehyung let out a sharp breath and looked at jin. "Who is my father?" he asked, all of us looked at him with confused expressions.

"I know hye jin and i are not siblings." Taehyung turned to look at me. "You remember in my dream, there were two people? The same two people we saw in that picture? The person standing with your father, is my father hye jin.Yesterday in my dream, the person i called dad was the second man, not your dad." he completed and i was still not able to process anything he just said. It felt as if my whole life is a lie, i was in complete and utter shock.

"S-so that means, y-you are not---" i tried to put it in a sentence but failed.

"I'm not your brother hye jin." taehyung completed. I was puzzled. I didn't understand, i mean i did understand but i was not able to accept it and take it in.

"Will you both tell me the truth now? Or really want me to find out everything myself?" taehyung asked to chaerin and jin.

Jin closed his eyes and threw his head back. "We will" jin said as he heaved a sigh.

"Have you gone nuts? We cannot tell them yet." chaerin said.

"If taehyung saw his childhood in his dream, then it means that they are signalling us to tell them the whole truth chaerin. And i am going to do my job, i cant betray him. He saved my life." jin said and chaerin still didn't seem okay with the idea of letting us know the truth.

"You're right taehyung. You and hye jin are not siblings. Your father and hye jin's father were the best of friends. They were BOTH friends with hyewon. Whatever i said earlier about the division was true, the only difference was, both of your fathers were wizards, you were born after the division and after two years hye jin was born. When hyewon tried to take you, and killed your mom, you witnessed everything at that time. Just when hyewon was about to take you away, your father came home and saved you. But you were traumatised, you witnessed your own mother's death that too in the cruelest way. You wouldn't eat, sleep or do anything for days. I was your friend at that time, because your father bought me home after saving me from a fire. I stayed with you after your mother's death trying to help you cope up but it wouldn't help. You would randomly burst into tears at the most random times. You would scream and cry till you faint. Your father figured you would go crazy if this continued, also he had to go there to kill hyewon, because she wouldn't stop killing people. So he figured that it would be best to erase your memories. He did it, he erased everything from your brain and hye jin's father offered to take you with him. But hye jin's father couldn't say you were his best friend's son because you would eventually question about you family, and hye jin's mother would also question about it. So he thought it would be the best to introduce you as hye jin's step brother. But things didn't go well after that. Your father needed help in the fight and when hye jin's father suddenly left the house, he went to help your father. But little did they know what hyewon was planning. Hyewon said she would change and needed help in changing herself, your father being the kind person he is, agreed to help her but hyewon fooled them both and trapped them there." jin finished.

"This is your story. This is what happened to you." chaerin said.

We both sat there, no words uttered. We were completely stunned. Trying to process everything jin just said. Suddenly i heard sniffling. I turned to look at taehyung and he was crying.

I pulled him into a hug and he cried a little again. One thing about taehyung, he was very soft at heart. And i felt so bad for him. He had to experience so many things. At least i had my mom till i grew up but he had to live his life without his dad OR mom.

"The fact that my father keeps telling me to save him almost everyday, i think they are in trouble there and we need to hurry up." taehyung said as he wiped his tears away.

"We should but the only way we can proceed is when someone attacks us from their side. But they are not, and i don't seem to understand the reason behind it." chaerin said.

"Is there no other way? Jin you said you were the mediator, can you not tell us where out fathers are so we can just go there without waiting?" i asked

"If i knew it i would definitely tell you, the people on your father's side still talk to me, that is why i can pass the message to you. If they figure it out and tell me, i will surely tell you. But till then, all we can do it wait." jin said and i nodded.

"Ah, hye jin you said you wanted to talk to me?" jin said and taehyung looked at me.

"I-i do but it would be better if it's only the two of us." i said hesitantly and jin nodded.

Jin and i decided we could talk while taehyung showed the notes and pictures to chaerin. We both walked in the corridor and i told jin everything jungkook has done so far including the time he visited me in taehyung's apartment and in the café.

Jin listened to everything intently and nodded.

"I think he's falling for you."
