My Life Is Different

Chapter Three

-Payton's P.O.V-

I woke up the next morning in my own bed in my room back in the house I was raised in and I couldn't be more happier. They sent me home around midnight last night. I grabbed my phone off the side table and checked twitter I haven't been on since I left. I checked the trends they are all about how my fans are worried about me,

@PaytonMiller: I'm here and I see all the love you are sending and I can't thank you enough I love you all

People responded saying that they love me and the hate stopped

@PaytonMiller: I feel like I got hit by a wrecking ball

Just then I saw that Jake tagged me in a post

@JakeThomas: @PaytonMiller I'm on my way baby you'll be in my arms soon

This boy makes me so happy.

Moments later someone opened my bedroom door. Just then my four legged friend jumped on my bed and laid beside me I laid my hand on his side I missed him so much. I'm on my phone when I heard commotion downstairs I tried to get up but couldn't,

"This sucks"

"Now" a voice said

I looked in my door way and saw Jake,

"You will get better but in time"

He came over and laid beside me wrapping me in his arms,

"I missed you baby"

"I missed you too it was horrible there"

He kissed my cheek "it was horrible here without you"

I moved closer to him and did something I haven't done in a while I smiled a real smile and that's when I realized I don't need to try and make myself happy I just need to be around people who make me happy.

It's been two days and I'm feeling better but not better enough to perform. Before we headed to the concert Jake decided to take the kids to the park, Caleb and Carly are on the swings Jake and I are sitting on a bench just enjoying each other's company,

"Are you coming to my concert tonight?" Jake asked

"I don't know depends how I feel"

He ran his hand down my arm skimming the wrap where my cuts are being covered,

"Do they hurt?"

I shook my head "not all the time"

He looks at the white gauze,

"Can you stop staring!" I snapped "I don't need my boyfriend staring at it I know it's ugly"

"Payton it's"

"Jake I know what it is but you didn't know the pain I went through"

I stood up but Jake took my hand and stood in front of me,

"I went through the exact pain Payton" tears started forming in his eyes "I cried myself to sleep every night hoping and praying that you would come back but you didn't I couldn't hold you in my arms I couldn't hear that beautiful laugh or see that stunning smile you give me" I smiled "the one you're giving me now I couldn't see it in person I couldn't run my fingers through your long beautiful hair while I lay with you and it killed me because I couldn't do it"

"Jake I"

He wrapped me in his arms "I love you Payton"

"I love you too"

With my scars he still loves me,

"But promise me something"

"What?"
