Chapter Twenty-Two

I'm laying in bed when I feel two huge arms pull me closer and I smiled. I turned over and saw Jake peacefully sleeping his mouth slightly open he's lightly snoring he's so cute when he's asleep. I ran my fingers threw his soft hair. I rolled back over and got up without waking him. I heard him groan and his hands are searching for something I moved my pillow closer to him he grasped it and moved it closer. I quietly laughed and took a picture of him and posted it on Instagram

I went over to my dresser and got out my bra and underwear then went to my closet and got out a pair of white jeans then went to Jakes closet and got out his red hoodie with his last name on the back. I went in the bathroom and took a shower. After washing myself and my hair I got out. I dried myself off with the towel and got dressed I blow dried my hair and straightened it. Once I finished putting on make up I quietly walked out of the room and into the playroom where I knew the kids would be

As I walked into the room the walls are beige and the carpet is a crayon red. At the base of the wall is a chalkboard texture just incase they feel like drawing on the walls. Caleb won't but Carly is still in that phase. There are toys all over the place Caleb and Carly are in the middle of the floor coloring in their books both of them are still in their pajamas I stood next to them,

"Morning guys" I said

They looked at me,

"Morning Payton!" Caleb cheered and hugged me

"Morning Pay" Carly smiled she got up and hugged me

I kneeled down giving them my full attention

"Do you want to help me with a project?"

"Like what?" Caleb asked

"I need help to find a gift for your brother"

"Say no more" Caleb said "we got you I'm gonna go get ready"

I chuckled "thank you Mr Thomas Jr"

he winked at me and I laughed "he reminds me so much of Jake"

"What about you Miss Thomas?"

"I go"

I smiled "alright let's go"

We left the play room and went into her Cinderella themed room. I walked to her chest of draws. I got out a dark blue pair of jeans then a red sweater and then got out brown Ugg boots. I left her room while she got dressed. I went downstairs and got their bag ready just incase they get irritable.

I looked at the time it's 8:30am no one is really up this early. I messaged Jade asking her if she wanted to tag along and she didn't have a problem with it. I heard footsteps coming down the steps and saw Caleb dressed in a green hoodie with tan pants and black snow boots and Carly is in the outfit I picked out,

"Ready to go?"

The nodded. I grabbed the keys to the black S.U.V and we headed out the door. Once I picked up Jade we headed to the mall,

"So I'm guessing you got back together?" she smirked

I blushed "yeah"

"How'd he win you back?"

"He told me that he basically can't live without me and seeing me in the arms of another guy killed him"

"At least he cares"

I stopped at a stop light and re-glossed my lips "what about you and Chris?"

the corner of her lips went up and she blushed
