My Life Is Different

Chapter Nine

-Jakes P.O.V-

I opened the door to my hotel room as soon as you walk in there is a white bathroom room to the left. I walked pass the bathroom and saw two King sized beds I sat my suitcases by the wall then laid on the bed and called Payton she didn't answer so I called Jade,

"Hello...Jade?"

"Hey Jake how was the flight?"

"Boring" I laughed "is Payton there?"

"No"

I heard a loud bang on the end of her line "what was that?"

"The storm is starting"

I mentally groaned "that's what I was afraid of"

"Did you try and call the house?

"No I told her not to stay home do you think she went to one of the guys house?"

"No because they are all here and you know Payton she's going to go where she feels safe"

"I'll try calling the house"

"Alright call me if you get ahold of her"

"Ok bye"

"Bye"

I hung up the phone and dialed the house.

-Payton's P.O.V-

I'm in my kitchen making soup and grilled cheese for Baylor. He's laying at my side. I looked out the kitchen window and it's raining really bad a flash of light comes from the sky it's so bright I can see the street just then it sounded as if there's a bowling alley in my basement. I looked down at Baylor and smiled. I grabbed a bowl and a paper plate and sat the food on the floor I wasn't hungry.

I made my way over to the couch and sat down turning on the tv the weather man said it was just going to get worse just then a crack from outside is heard I just brushed it off. The ringing of the house phone filled the house I went over and answered it,

"Hello?"

"Payton! Are you ok?"

"I'm fine Jake"

"Why aren't you at Jades house?"

"Cause..." I said letting my voice trail off

"please go to Jades"

Just then another crack was heard I looked outside and saw a tree with a crack in it

"I love you Jake"

"I love you too"

I went over and sat back on the couch and continued to talk to Jake.

-Jakes P.O.V-

I'm on the phone with Payton. She's telling me about what she did today I'm just enjoying hearing her voice she's so perfect. Just then a loud crash is heard from her end of the line,

"Baylor!" she screamed

"Payton?! what's wrong?"

She screamed and then the line went dead my heart is racing and I started shaking my door opened Chase came through the door,

"Ready for interviews?"

"I-I can't I need to get home Payton could be hurt"

Just the thought of me losing her scared me. Chris sat beside me on the bed,

"We can't right now the planes have stopped flying until the storm is over"

I groaned

"We have to find a way back!"
