My Life Is Different

Chapter Fifteen

I'm in the police car heading home. Baylor is in the back. I just keep thinking about my family they all probably think I'm dead or something,

"Your family is worried about you" the officer said

"I know"

I looked out the window and saw dark cars around me "paparazzi" I rolled my eyes and exhaled "don't they ever leave me alone I hate being famous. I hate change maybe I should just end this whole thing and maybe things will go back to normal"

"You know what I don't get it" the officer said

"Get what?"

"You" he stated "you have everything someone would ever ask for and you ran from it"

"If you saw it from my point of view you would run too"

"But why did you go to the cemetery?"

"I missed my mom" I bluntly said

He just shook his head.

I finally arrived home around six-thirty. The police officer opened the front door,

"She's home!" he yelled

Everything looks the same well it should I was only gone for a day. Baylor ran over to Ruby who is sitting on the couch,

"Go in to the living room"

I nodded. I walked in to the living and sat but then got bored and left. I walked out the back door and went to the beach. I'm sitting on the sand watching the waves go in and out,

"Miss Miller your family is waiting for you"

I turned around and saw Chancy he smiled at me I got up and hugged him.

After the yelling, crying and asking if I'm ok I told them why I left,

"You're little Miss Houdini" Austin said

"I thought I could sneak out and not get caught but you top me" Rachel said she looked at my dad and then she kept quiet,

"You just told on yourself" I laughed "so where's Addison?"

"Home" my brother said "I broke up with her"

"Go get her" I said while pointing to the door "don't lose another girlfriend because of me"

"You going to be ok?" he asked

"I'll be fine"

He hugged me and left

"So since she's home can I go to Sams party?"

My dad nodded. It's just my dad, Bethany and I,

"Bethany and I have a party to go to we'll be home soon and Ms Thomas took the kids to some movie"

I nodded and then they left

"Hm home alone with Jake"

I went upstairs. I opened the door and saw Jake laying in bed holding our picture while tears ran down the side of his face. I shut his door and went over to him,

"Jay?" I softly asked "are you ok?"

I held onto his hand he didn't respond,

"I love you"

I kissed his forehead,

"Why?" I heard him quietly ask

"Why what?"

"Why do you always like to scare me?"

I just stayed there. I never really thought about what Jake went through when I leave,

"Do you not understand how much I worry? do you not realize how much I care about you"

"I know you care about me"

"Then why do you keep leaving? do you want this relationship to go down the toilet?"

"I'm sorry Jake I really am"

"Just leave"

That hurt. I nodded and left his room

I went into my bedroom and got ready for bed. I'm laying in bed just thinking "this isn't what I expected my night to be like"
