Max tried to focus on his work. He checked his emails. There's a new report from the Cost Control department regarding the Black Warehouse project. Maya't-maya siyang napapatingin kay Catherine habang binabasa ang report.

Muli siyang nagbasa. He's halfway through the report when he glanced at her again. He caught her staring at him. She averted her eyes right away and concentrated on her drawing instead. Max smiled to himself.

Nagkatinginan sila nito ng tumunog ang telepono. He winked at her playfully before answering the call. She shot him an angry glare which he answered with a laugh.

"Oh, I'm glad you are laughing now, Max."

Natigil siya sa pagtawa ng ma-realize niyang naririnig pala siya ni Minerva. He cleared his throat.

"Good morning, Minerva."

"The morning seemed really good for you."

He glanced again at Catherine.

"Yes. Absolutely."

Kinakagat na naman ni Catherine ang labi nito. Seryoso itong nakatitig sa drawing nito. Mukhang nag-iisip kung ano ang magandang ikulay doon.

"Anyway, the PerfectTrail called a while ago. They are going to be delayed in going there as they have difficulty in getting a permit to transport their equipments."

"Really?"

Nakapangalumbaba na si Catherine ngayon. Nakakunot ang noo nito habang pumipili ng paint.

"Yes. Is it okay with you if they start working on Wednesday instead?"

Itinali ni Catherine ang mahaba nitong buhok. Kitang kita niya ngayon ang makinis nitong batok.

"Perfect." He badly wants to trail his tongue on her nape right now.

"Oh, thank God! I thought you are going to be upset about it since you were in a hurry the last time we talked."

Tumikhim siya at pilit na ibinaling ang atensyon sa usapan nila ni Minerva.

"Just make sure na nandito na sila by Wednesday or else we have to look for another contractor."

"Okay. I'll call them right away. Send my regards to Mia."

"Okay, I will."

Binaba niya ang telepono at tumayo mula sa kinauupuan. Nag-inat siya ng mga braso habang palihim na tinitingnan ang reaksyon ni Catherine. Nahuli niya itong sumusulyap sa kanya. Kunwari hindi niya napansin at pinagpatuloy ang pag-flex ng muscles sa katawan. He never seduced a woman before. Ang mga babae ang lumalapit sa kanya. But Catherine is not like those girls. He needs patience in order to get her. As they say, good things come to those who wait. And he'll wait patiently until she succumbed to his seduction. He'll make sure she will surrender her body willingly.

Lumapit siya dito at kunwaring nakikitingin sa drawing nito. Dalawang isda sa isang pond na may iilang dahon ang ginuguhit nito.

"What is that?"

Gulat itong lumingon sa kanya. Lihim siyang napangiti sa reaction nito. Why so scared, babe?

"Ahm, coi fish. P-pampaswerte."

Namumula ang mukha nito at napapalunok habang sumusulyap sa katawan niya.

"I thought you're painting."

Itinukod niya ang isang braso sa mesa habang nakatunghay dito. Lalong namula ang mukha nito.

"O-oo. Nagpapraktis pa lang ako. Saka na'ko magpipinta."
