I got this prompt from a prompt book.
-Patton's POV-
Everyone always asks me why I hate arguments, especially negative words. The reason is because they hurt me. I'm not talking about emotional pain, I mean it physically hurts me.
The reason for this is is because I'm Thomas's heart, and emotional pain comes from a person's heart. Now, usually, the worse the insult, the worse the pain. But no ones said anything that was too bad, I mean, I have a few cuts and brusies, but no ones ever said anything too horrible.
Until today.
We were in a Sanders Sides video, and everything was going well until Roman started fighting with Virgil. They do this all the time, but this time, Roman told Virgil that no one wanted him around and that he was a disorder. That was an insult bad enough to make a wound similar to a knife's in the side of my stomach. I held my hand there and winced before anyone saw the blood. No one knows about this, after all.
-Thomas's POV-
Oh jeez, Roman insulted Virgil again. He said something extremely mean, and I scolded him for it. That's when I noticed Patton wasn't saying anything. I look over and see him shutting his eyes tightly while holding his side.
At first, I thought he just had a side ache, but then I saw blood on his hands and some dripping to the floor.
"Oh my God, Patton! Are you okay?!" I'm so paniced that I didn't notice Roman and Virgil stopped fighting. "Y-yeah, I'm-" he cut himself off with a hiss of pain and collapsed to the floor. I run over to him and move his hand. It looks like someone had just stabbed him with a kitchen knife!
He's still awake, but he won't be if we don't bandage him. "Logan, get me some medical wrap now!" I say a little loudly. He nods and goes to the mindscape to grab some. In the meantime, I take off Patton's shirt so that I can properly wrap it.
"Patton, what the hell happened to you?!" I hear Virgil say.
-Patton's POV-
It had begun to be painful to stay standing, so I sank to the floor. Everyone ran up to me and Thomas sent Logan to go get wrap for this. He also took my shirt off, which I would have been embarrassed about if I wasn't bleeding so bad.
"Patton, what the hell happened to you?!" My son said to me. I looked around to see everyone else with the same question in their eyes. Before I answered, Logan came back with the medical wrap and Thomas started taking care of my side.
"Well... You see, kiddo..." I start. Everyone looks at me and nods to encourage me to continue. "Since I'm Thomas's heart, I feel his feelings. But I also feel insults that are thrown from you guys, one to another or to Thomas. Insults and negative words physically harm me. Nothing has been this bad before, though..." I said.
Logan looked puzzled and then said, "Patton, are the marks on your body produced from these crude statements random, or do they have a pattern?" "Well, I figured out that the worse the thing that was said is, the worse the mark I'll have. It usually only ends in cuts or bruises, though..." I say back.
"It's my fault..." says Roman. Everyone turns to him. "I insulted Virgil badly, and I know I shouldn't have, but I didn't realize I was hurting you. I'm so sorry, Patton. And I'm sorry, Virgil, that I said that to you..." Roman looked like he was about to cry from the guilt, Logan's face was unreadable, Thomas was still wrapping me, but looked sad, and Virgil just looked down.
Thomas got done with me and told me to put on a new shirt, as my other one had blood on it. I put on my cat onsie and went to lay down.
-Roman's POV-
I felt just terrible. I was in my room crying when Patton knocked on my door to tell me that dinner was ready. I didn't want to, because I hate what I did. I eventually went downstairs, though, and was given food.
I didn't eat it, but it was there.
-Virgil's POV-
What Roman said to me yesterday honestly hurt Patton a lot more than me. I mean, he always insults me, I'm used to it.
But now he's acting weird. He came downstairs looking like he hadn't got our of bed for a while. Oh, I think I know what's going on.
I walk up to Patton and whisper, "Dad, you gotta tell Roman it's fine. He's not eating because he feels bad." he looks at me then at Roman.
<Time skip>
-Patton's POV-
While we were eating, I thought I could casually bring up to Roman that I forgave him.
"Roman, I forgave you even right after it happened, you know. I still love you." I decided to say. He froze and did something very Virgil-like; he hid behind his bangs.I saw Logan look between us, and then say, "Roman, yes, you may have caused Patton to bleed out of his side, but all of us should feel remorse if we go off of your mindset. I mean, keep in mind, we have all without knowledge caused Patton harm. And, sure, we felt bad when we found out, but we know that he forgives us. He doesn't hold it against us, and all we have to do is try not to say rude or hurtful things."
I stood and walked over to him.I gave him a hug and said, "it's okay, Roman. Truly." My hugs have the ability to bring out one's emotions if I want, and to make them feel better if they're bad ones.
"..." He attempted to speak, but I don't think he can. I just hugged him until he felt better, and all was well. The night ended with him finally smiling, and that was enough for me.
A/N
Sorry if this was crap. Btw, when I say "no specific ship", it means you can apply whichever ship you want to the story.
