-Logan's POV-
I have Roman take me to his castle into the potions room. There I find a potion spilled on the floor, glowing light purple.
"Is it safe to assume that that is the potion that caused patton's backward aging?" I ask Roman. He nods and Patton reaches to it like he's trying to say 'yes'.
I take an empty vial and get some off the floor, careful not to get any on my hands. I take it back to my room and examine it.

I go to find Roman the next day. "Well, I have good news and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?"
"The good news, please." he says in a 'no-duh' voice. "the good news is that the potion will wear off..." I say. Roman looks at me and says, "...And the bad news?"
"The bad news is that it is unclear when it will wear off completely, and that Patton will have to re-grow up. It shouldn't take years, but I don't know how long it will be before he's back to normal."
Baby Patton looks at me, then at Roman. "Eh... Ahgee..." then starts crying.
-Roman's POV-
After Logan tells us that, Patton starts crying.
"Shh, shh. Don't worry, dear Patton. I will take care of you until you're back to normal, okay?" I say and kiss his forehead. He stops crying and smiles at me. He then pats my arm as if to grab my attention, and rubs his small belly. He's hungry.
"Uh, Logan? Patton's hungry. How do I feed him?" I ask. He thinks for a minute. "Hmm. Well, I'm not sure. I don't know of he's old enough to eat baby food yet." I look at Patton and he throws his arms to either side like saying 'I don't know'.
"Well, let's try feeding him baby food, and see what happens." I say. Logan nods and summons a cup of a decent baby food. (I know they could have done that for the clothes, but whatever.)
I sit Patton on my lap and open the lid. I scoop some up in a little spoon and try to feed it to Patton. He opens his mouth and I feed him. This truly is too adorable not to smile at.
Afterwards, I ask, "Well? Was that okay, Patton?" "Ah." I took that as a yes and continue feeding him.
<time skip... again>
-Patton's POV-
Let's just say I'm greatful I could eat baby food. I really didn't want to have to live off milk.
I wouldn't mind being a baby so much if I could talk. I mean, I get to have Roman hold me all the time, and when he holds me, I can hear his heartbeat. It's like being mute, in a way.
I've noticed something about this potion. Although I kept my conscious thinking, I still had very baby-like urges. Like, I'll want to play with shinny things, or suck on everything.
I've learned how to communicate mostly with my little hands. I can say 'yeah', sort of. It comes out as, "Ah." That's about is, though. Roman had set me down on the floor with some toys and went to eat dinner with the others.
I was entertained for a while, but I missed being by Roman. I attempt to stand up, but I guess I'm not at walking age yet.
I crawl into the kitchen and go up to Roman's leg. I grab onto his pants and he looks down.
"Missed me, huh?" he says, in a teasing way. I make the 'up' hands at him, and he says, "Well, I guess I am done eating. One moment, dear Patton."
He gets up and washes his silverware. Remy looks down at me. "Oh. My. God. So that's why Patton wasn't at dinner! He's soooo cute!" I smile and try to laugh, but it come out as more of a baby squeal.
I feel two familiar hands wrap around me and get turned around. Roman was smiling and he said, "Do you want to hold him, Remy?" Remy nods and I get passed to him.
He takes off his sunglasses and says, "Oh, you're just so precious!" he holds me for a little while before handing me back to Roman.
"Okay, Patton. I actually made you a little crib earlier, so you'll have something to sleep in." "Aghee." I say back.
We get to his room and he places me in my new bed. He says, "Time for bed, okay? I love you." and leans down to kiss me.
-Roman's POV-
I put Patton to sleep and go to sleep myself. When I woke up, I wasn't expecting what I saw.
Patton was standing up, no longer wearing his onsie because I assume it was too big. At least he still had a diaper on, though.
He can walk now, too. I know this because I pulled him out of the crib and he starts wobbling around my room.
"Patton, look! You might be back to normal sooner than we thought!" I say to him. "Ah. I eed loth." he says, and I understand him. He said, 'Yeah. I need clothes.'
"Yes, indeed you do. Uh..." just then, Virgil appeared in the doorway. "I kinda figured you'd be needing new clothes for him." he says, and tossed me some tiny clothes that looked like they'd fit Patton. "Th-thanks, Virgil..." I say. He nods and heads back to his room.
I start putting the clothes on Patton. When I'm done, I ask him, "So, do you still want me to carry you?" he smiles and says, "Ah! Uppie, uppie!" by the looks of him, he's about 2-3 years old now.
I head downstairs to make myself some breakfast. I give him cut up eggs and toast to eat, since I know he is able to now. I gave up trying to give him a fork, because he kept dropping it and resorting to his hands.
After breakfast, I take him to Logan's room.
"Hmm. It seems he may just return to his prior form within about 20 days." He says, and both me and Patton smile. "I goaa mi aing oo ol ee..." Patton says. He said something along the lines of, 'I'm going to miss having you hold me', I think.
"Don't be sad, Patton. When you're back to normal, I can still hold you in my arms. How about we go out today?" I ask. He smiles and we head to the park.
<to be continued...>
This will probably have like, 5 parts. Consecutively. Sorry. It's the first prompt I've came up with that's actually easy to write about for a long time. I'll update either tonight or tomorrow.
Happy holidays!
