Why do you act this way
Why do you hurt the ones you love
The people you are meant
To protect
Why do you lash out at them
Tell them they are not worth it
Not worth your time
Or your attention
Or your ignorance
Why do your morals
Only extend
So far
Why do your actions
Make me so angry
It is not my life
I cannot interfere
So I won't
But I will complain
And I will observe
I can see your actions
Do not line up
What's with that
Why do you take it out on her
When it is your own fault
Why do you hurt her more
When she is already in so much pain
Why do you not reach out
Give her all the love she deserves
When I'm sure
It is all you ever wanted
Love is selfless
It does not ask for anything
Or expect anything
It should understand that
The person you love
Is not part of you
Does not belong to you
And you should love them for that
And give them everything because
You love them
This is not love
Why do you not understand
