There's a piece of me
That's stuck in all wrong
Like that piece of the puzzle
You can't figure out where to put
So you shove it in the empty slot
Even though that's not where it goes
And you don't notice it at first
Because it's the same color
But its shape is not quite right
And it's a little bent and torn
But it works fine
It does its job okay
As long as no one looks too close
What's the difference anyways?
But when I need it to function
I remember that it can't
But I lost the perfect piece
And this is all I have
But it's one of those things
That is so complicated
The whole of it depends
On every little part
And when something isn't right
Even as small as this
It messes everything up
And it's nearly impossible to fix
