Glorious

I'm unpacking,
But I never left.
Just one more sprint,
Just one more step,
Another day,
Another breath.
I've been chasing dreams,
But I never slept.
I can sleep when I die,
Cuz right now I don't have time.
Well, I heard you die twice:
Once when they bury you in the grave,
And the second time is the last time
somebody mentions your name.
So when its time for me to go,
Tell me, did I take more than I gave?
Did I look out for the people,
or should I be ashamed?
Trudging through the mud
to find the present - not for fun;
I'm searching for euphoria
There will be no ignoring us.
So I have a chance to start again
I was born for this,
It's who I am,
how could I forget?
I made it through the darkest part of the night,
And now I can see the sun rise.

Things are just things
They don't make you who you are
Can't pack up a U-Haul
and take it with you when you're gone
So I'll be the best that I can be
And raise my glass up to the stars
I know they're smiling down on me
'Cause they know that I'll go far

Another morning, another day;
I won't let myself get in my way.
I got my breath; I'll be okay,
'Cause I remember why I came.
I'm gonna be alright,
When I open my eyes,
I hope I'll see you shine,
Because this is our time.
We're planting a flag,
'Cause they don't understand;
The world is up for grabs.
Just take it, don't waste time to ask.

And when all is said and done,
And I've accomplished all my goals,
I'll say that I feel glorious,
Because I have overcome the world.
