Susan was fierce yesterday. She stood up to me for the first time. She's come a long way in a year, good for her. Can't let that happen often, I'll be in a heap of trouble if I'm caught. Who knows what'll happen.

The loud alarm rang, and Taylor snatched her charging phone off the nightstand to shut it off, and quickly got out of bed and got ready. She checked her weather app. It was going to be pretty cold. She grabbed a forest green long-sleeved shirt, blue boot-cut jeans, and a white sweater. She tossed her clothes on and slipped on her black sneakers. She went into her bathroom and did her essentials, deciding to skip breakfast due to her pressing snooze one to many times. She pulled her hair into a messy bun and ran downstairs, greeted by her dad in the kitchen.

"Morning, sweetheart."

"Morning dad! Don't have a lot of time to talk, I got up too late."

Taylor grabbed her house keys, wallet and backpack. She hugged her dad.

"Bye!" She called, rushing out the front door. "Have a good day!" Her father called back.

Taylor ran as fast as she could down a few blocks and made it to the bus, which was not a school bus. She lived an hour away from the school, and none of the school buses went that far. Meaning, Taylor had to take the public bus, and be there by 6:00 a.m. She rushed inside the bus, payed the fare, and took her usual spot in the back corner. She sat sideways, pulled her knees up near her chest to take up two seats, and pulled out her phone. She decided to text Faris.

Tina: Good morning ☀️

Faris: morning 

T: Didn't expect you to be up yet

F: fell asleep WAY to early. Been up since 5, fell asleep at like 7 or 8

T: It happens 

F: so what're u doin?

T: Sitting in a cold bus with 3 random people 

F: why??

T: I've already told u, I live far from the school, gotta take the public bus

F: oh rightttt

F: hey, do you think we could get coffee or something after school?

Taylor's face went a bit red. Is this a date? She thought.

T: I'd have to ask my dad

F: alright

T: I'm gonna go now, barely got any sleep so Imma try to take a nap

F: K sweet dreams 😴

T: Thx

Taylor set a timer on her phone for fifty minutes, leaned her head back, and slowly drifted into her slumber.

She opened her eyes. She felt someone grab her hand, intertwining their hand with hers. She looked next to her, noticing she was sitting upright. She saw Faris, he was the one holding her hand. She turned pink.

"Morning, Tay," he said, looking at Taylor.

"Good morning...When did you get here?"

"A while ago. Did you know that you look absolutely adorable when you're asleep?" He leaned up against her. Taylor's face went completely red.
