                                                  "Okay, so guess what?" Susan said, smiling as she walked with Bastion.
                              "What?" Bastion asked.
                              "There's going to be a new student at school!"

                              "Oh, that sounds awesome!"
                              "I know! I really hope we get to befriend whoever they are."
                              "Yeah."
                              Once Susan and Bastion arrived at their homeroom class and sat down, an unfamiliar boy with brown hair and eyes walked into the room. He had a smirk on his face as he saw multiple people look over at him. Nobody recognized him, except for one.
                              "He looks oddly familiar," Susan whispered. The boy walked to the teacher and spoke to him. The teacher pointed to an open spot next to Susan, and he took a seat.
                              "Hey," he said to the couple. He had a light British accent.
                              "Um, hello!" Susan greeted. "I'm Susan, you?" She extended her arm.
                              "Susan, huh?" He shook her hand, then tickled her side.
                              "H-Hey! Don't-"
                              Bastion looked over at the new arrival. "Don't touch her like that. It makes her uncomfortable."
                              "Oh, c'mon, you used to love it when I did that." The boy said, not acknowledging Bastion. "Didn't you, Sue?"
                              "Wait, I remember that nickname..." Susan whispered. "D-Dominic?!"
                              "Right here, baby." He blew a kiss at her.
                              "That's Dominic?" Bastion whispered.
                              "Uh-huh..."
                              Dominic grinned. "What? Don't you miss your one true love?" He winked.
                              "You're not my 'one true love'..."
                              "Aww, are you still mad at me? I've changed, Sue."
                              "Yeah, you've changed alright."
                              Susan felt tears rise in her eyes. "N-Now, um...Please l-leave us alone..."
                              She turned away from Dominic and grabbed Bastion's hand under the table, squeezing it once she got a hold of it. She slowly and quietly let out her tears.
                              "It's okay, Susie. I'll protect you from that monster," Bastion said quietly, glaring at Dominic.
