Susan stayed close to Bastion that day. She thought that with the three boys stopping their hurtfulness, she wouldn't have to be afraid anymore. But now that her cheating ex-boyfriend was back, she was more scared then ever. Especially after he had touched her like that. As she walked down the halls holding Bastion's hand tight, she felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned around, and so did Bastion.
"Hey, Sue," Dominic said. "Who's this guy? Your best friend?"
"N-No, uh..."
Bastion stepped in. "Actually, I'm her boyfriend, thank you very much."
"Sue, you're dating him?"
Susan looked into his eyes. "Yes. Is there anything wrong with that?"
"Yes, actually..." He got close to her face. "You're actually cheating on me."
"I'm sorry?"
"We never had a proper breakup. So we're still technically dating."
"Well, I thought you were smart enough to know that I didn't want to be with a cheating bastard like you anymore. But, I guess not. How about this? Ahem, Dominic, we're over! I never want to see you ever again! Get the hell out of my life!" She made sure to say those last parts loud enough for a few people to hear.
"Nice acting, but I can tell that deep down, you still love me and want me back, babe."
"In your dreams, jackass."
"Ooh, so you're cursing now, huh? Your life really did begin to crumble once you left me, didn't it?"
"No, it got much better. Just get away from me."
She began to walk away from Dominic.
"Mark my words, Susan," he whispered, "I will get you back."
