"No!"

"Woah, Susie, what's wrong?" Bastion asked.

Susan looked around, eyes wide. She felt her neck for the necklace. She looked at Bastion as tears began to escape her eyes. She fell into Bastion's arms and sobbed uncontrollably. Bastion hushed her gently and caressed her cheek.

"Shh...It's going to be fine, Susan. Everything's going to be fine."

After Susan had stopped crying, she explained the nightmare she had.

"Look, Susie. You dealt with him earlier. He looked genuinely terrified. I highly doubt he's going to try and mess with you anytime soon. Don't worry."

"Bastion, I can't stop worrying...Just the thought of him terrifies me..The only reason I have to not listen and succumb to him is you. If I didn't have you, I...I-I w-wouldn't..."

She began to cry again.

"Shh...Shh...Just try to calm down. We'll be back in an hour, and I'm sure that hour will be the fastest hour you'll ever experience."

Susan calmed down again, taking Bastion's hand and leaning her head on his shoulder again, trying her hardest to not fall asleep.

Susan's words spun in Bastion's mind like a whirlpool. ' If I didn't have you, I...I-I w-wouldn't...' "Wouldn't what?" Bastion whispered to himself.
