Chapter Thirty-One: A Silent Cry For Help

Susan and Bastion walked down the halls, heading to their lockers. "Hey, Bastion?"

"Yeah?"

"I've been kind of worried lately...About Dominic.."

"Hey, if he ever lays a finger on you, I will punch him."

"I know you would...I feel like I'm overreacting, but at the same time, I'm acting normal."

"I can see that it's hard to be by somebody who hurt you. I think it's completely normal for you to be upset. And after he touched you like that, you being afraid of him is natural. You shouldn't worry too much about it, though. The more you worry, the more your fears will rise."

"Yeah...You're right."

Bastion checked the time. "Shoot, we better get going. My mom doesn't like me home later than 4:00."

The two got their things out of their lockers, and Susan decided to wait outside for Bastion. She stood at the front of the school and waited. She felt someone tap her shoulder. When she turned her head, somebody grabbed her wrists and pulled her to the side of the school.

"What are you doing?!" She exclaimed before seeing the one who grabbed her. "Dominic?!"

"Riiiiight here, baby~"

"What do you want?!"

"I want your love back. And there's only one way for that to happen..."

Dominic pressed Susan onto the wall and began to kiss her. Susan's eyes widened, and she tried to punch Dominic, but he grabbed her wrists again and pinned them above her head. He held her wrists with one hand, and put his other hand onto her side, gliding it up and down. Tears pricked the corners of Susan's eyes. She searched for what she could do to grab someone's attention, when an idea popped into her head. But she had to live her worst nightmare to do so. She reluctantly kissed back. Dominic pulled away.

"See? I knew you still loved me~"

"Y-Yes, I love you, Dominic...M-More than anything..."

"I know..."

He continued to kiss her, and Susan kissed back so Dominic wouldn't suspect anything. She silently gagged, hating every second.

He let go of her wrists, and her hands fell to her sides. As tears began to fall down her face, Susan began to pound on the wall behind her, trying to be loud enough for someone to hear.

Bastion walked towards the exit, and he heard silent bangs on the walls. He left the school and went to examine the noise.

"Dominic, get your filthy-ass hands off of her, you piece of shit!" Bastion shouted, running towards her and socking him in the face.

"Aw, fuck!" Dominic yelled, letting go of Susan and covering his face. His nose was bleeding. "Ugh...Well guess what,  she just told me that she loves me more than anything."

Bastion looked into Susan's eyes, and could see what Dominic said wasn't true.

"Dominic, if you don't back away in the next three seconds, we're gonna have a problem."

"Sue, babe, tell that crazy boy you love-"

Susan stood up straight and kneed Dominic's crotch. He let out a shout and doubled over, grabbing his crotch in pain. Susan quickly ran to Bastion and wrapped her arms around him. He held her close and tightly.

"Fucking shit! But, Sue! Y-You said--"

"It was all an act, Dominic! I still hate your guts!"

"Sue, please, I-"

"I don't want to hear it! Whatever you have to say is complete bullshit! C'mon, Bastion."

The couple left, leaving Dominic by himself.
