Chapter Thirty-Seven: The Three-Hour Journey

It was the last day of the trip. Everybody had their things packed and ready to leave. They ate breakfast, and the leaders gave a farewell speech. Everyone boarded the boat, waved goodbye to their leaders, and they set sail.

About an hour into the trip back, Bastion left to use the restroom, leaving Susan alone. As she sat and sang to herself, a tall figure walked in front of her. She looked at their face, and low and behold, it was none other than the scumbag, Dominic. She looked back down at her nails.

"Hellooo, nurse~" he said.

"What do you want, Dominic?" Susan asked, not making eye contact.

"You know, you looked pretty damn hot in that swimsuit." 

"That's nice."

"I know. I wonder..."

He bent down and brought his lips to her ear.

"What would you look like..."

He went to slip his hand under her shirt.

"Without-"

Susan grabbed his wrist and twisted it. Dominic shouted in pain as he tried to pull away.

"What's the matter?" Susan asked mockingly. "A twig like you can't handle a little cupcake like me?"

She let go of his wrist.

"H-How?!" Dominic stuttered.

"Just because I let you hurt me doesn't mean I don;t know how to protect myself anymore. Now, listen here, you bastard..." She grabbed his shirt collar and pulled him towards her. "Touch me one more time, and let's see what happens to those twig-arms of yours. They may just..."

She snapped.

"...Snap..."

She let go, and Dominic stumbled away.

"Jesus, Susan," Bastion began, walking towards her. "I came back and saw Dominic, and before I went to punch him, you did...that! That was amazing, cupcake!" He bent down and kissed her cheek, then sat next to her.

"Thanks, Bastion. But it wasn't really anything special, though."

"But it was! You literally threatened to break his arms! I'm impressed." 

Susan blushed. She leaned on Bastion's shoulder and yawned. "Can I take a nap?" She asked.

"Of course, cupcake."

Bastion kissed her forehead, and Susan shut her eyes.

"That is the last time you fuck with me, 'Sue'..."

"Dominic, please! I'm s-sorry!"

"Of course you are! You're a fucking whore! I can't even believe how you were able to get Mr. 'Nice Guy' to date you."

Students laughed as they watched Susan slowly back away from Dominic towards the edge of the boat.

"Please, d-don't hurt me, Dominic!"

"Oh, don't worry, darling. I won't hurt you..."

He walked towards her, making her inch even closer towards the water.

"But the sharkies will."

"Wha-"

Dominic then pushed Susan over the edge, causing her to fall into the deep water.

"Bye-Bye!" Dominic shouted as all the students laughed and pointed.

"P-Please!" Susan screamed, trying to keep her head above the waves. "Throw me s-some-something!!"

Dominic pulled a necklace out of his pocket. It was Susan's necklace from Bastion. He threw it towards her. And in a few seconds, the boat was out of sight. Susan began to panic; she couldn't keep afloat forever. And there were indeed sharks in the water beneath her. She coughed and gasped for air as the salt water went up her nose and burned her throat. She felt something sharp grab her leg. As she screamed in pain, it dragged her under the water.

"No!"
