Chapter Twenty: Heart Break, Pt. One

Faris walked down the hallways, making his way to his locker to grab his lunch bag and water bottle. As he walked, he looked up and saw a blonde girl standing in front of his locker.

"Um, can I help you?" He asked her once he was there.

"Yes, actually..." The girl replied, playing with the ends of her hair.

"You're...Emily, right?"

"Yeah. We have English and P.E. together."

"Well, what do you need?"

"Well, I...Sorta, kinda...Have a crush on you, and...I was wondering if we could go out for coffee after school?"

"Oh, u-um...I'm sorry, b-but I have a girlfriend..."

Emily's face went stiff. "Oh, okay...Before I go..."

She grabbed Faris' shirt collar and pulled him towards her, pressing their lips together. It seemed to be the worst timing as well. Taylor was standing in the hallway, and had only seen them kiss, and none of what happened before that. Emily ran off, a smirk plastered on her face. Faris noticed Taylor and quickly walked to her, but she began to run away.

"Taylor, wait! Let me explain!" Faris shouted. Taylor stopped and turned around.

"No! I don't want to listen to any damn excuse you have!" She began to walk away again, but Faris grabbed her hand.

"Please, Taylor! Listen to me, I-"

"Yesterday you said that you would never cheat on me! No, you promised you would never cheat on me! But you immediately broke that promise the day after you made it! I...I sh-shouldn't of broken up with Lili to be with a jackass like you! We're over! Get the fuck out of my life!" She stormed away, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Faris felt his chest ache. His head hurt and his heart hurt. He camped out in the bathroom for the rest of lunch so he didn't have to be confronted by Lillian or Peyton. He also thought about what Taylor had said. "I...I shouldn't of broken up with Lili to be with a jackass like you!"

They were dating? He thought. I wonder why they never told me...

"Lili!" Taylor called, running to her friend soon after the event that had just taken place.

"Hey, Tay! What's..." Lillian saw the tears on Taylor's face. "Taylor, what happened?!"

"Faris happened!"

"Alright, calm down. What did Faris do?"

"I went t-to go meet him at-at his locker for l-lunch, and I s-s-saw him kissing another g-girl-l! He wasn't ev-even resisting!"

Lillian pulled Taylor in for a tight hug.

"How do you know he was the one kissing her? I don't think Faris would cheat on you right after Valentines' day. Maybe the girl was the one who was kissing him, if you know what I mean."

"I honestly don't care. He wasn't resisting or pushing her away! He just stood there!" She was silent for a second. "I-I wished I never have broken up with you! You're so much better than him! You're loyal, kind, generous, all the good things! Taylor is just a rotten cheater!"

"Taylor, you don't really mean that-"

"Yes I do!"

Lillian sighed. "Today's a Friday. How about you stay over at my house for tonight?" She wiped Taylor's eyes.

"O-Okay..."

Faris looked all around the school, finally finding the girl he was looking for: Emily. She smiled when she saw him, but was immediately greeted with a smack in the face.

"What the actual fuck?!" Faris screamed.

"What?"

"You're the reason my girlfriend broke up with me today!"

"Aha. That was the point, sweetie. I've already got a boyfriend, anyways."

"Well, can't wait to tell him all about today. Have fun, bitch."

He punched her straight in the nose and stormed off.

I wanted to incorporate some fighting between the two because of ep. 13 (btw I'm still super depressed because of it 😭😭)

Also Emily isn't a particular character. I'm just projecting. :)
