"Well, here's my place," Micah said, opening the door to her house. Talia looked around.
"Nice place," she said.
"Thanks. Now, how're we going to tell my parents this exactly?"
"We tell them my parents are going through something, and I needed to get my mind off of it. Make them feel guilty if they don't let me stay."
"That's...Actually a good plan."
"Yeaaaah, I know."
Micah showed Talia to her room, which she'd be staying in. She looked through her closet and found an air mattress. As she began to fill it with air, Talia spoke.
"Y'know, it must be nice having two loving parents and a stable home..."
"Yeah, it's pretty nice. By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what happened to your parents?"
"They died a few years ago in a car crash."
"Oh, that's awful."
"Yeah, I do sorta miss 'em."
"Well, uh, the bed's done. We can just hang out until my parents get home."
"Alright."
