So, this was the original draft for my spring chapter, but it got scrapped, because I didn't have much of an idea of what to do later on in the chapter. Plus, if I did have an idea, the chapter would be way to long. Because this was a draft, some things are different from the finished product. Also, do not consider this canon in the story! I'm just posting this for filler. Also also, if you guys want me to continue this chapter, I would gladly do it. Enjoy!

The bell rang, and all the students came ushering out of the school. Spring break had finally begun, and students threw out their papers onto the lawn (soon getting into trouble later).

Susan walked alone today, but for a good reason. Her and Bastion were going on a vacation to Japan for the break, so they needed to head their separate ways to begin packing at their houses.

Susan made it home, said hello to her parents, and headed to her room to begin packing for the week. Once Bastion walked into his house, he did the same. Once in his room, he pulled out his phone and FaceTimed Susan.

Ring! Ring!

"Hey, Bastion!" Susan greeted happily.

"Hey, Sus."

"New nickname, I see?"

"I'm trying it out."

Susan giggled.

"You packing?"

"Yup. I'm so glad we're able to actually fly to Japan! I've been practicing my Japanese; How does this sound?;

Kon'nichiwa! Watashinonamaeha sūzandesu"

"All I understood was Kon'nichiwa, but it sounded good."

Susan giggled again. "I said 'Hello! My name is Susan." (I hope Google Translate is right)

"Oh, okay. Do you think you could teach me a bit of Japanese on our flight there? I heard we're gonna be on that plane a while."

"Of course! Hey, your mom can still pick me up and drop us off at the airport, right?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, good. My parents have yet again another early business meeting, so they can't send me off."

The two continued their conversation and packed their bags for the rest of the hour, and once they finished packing, Bastion headed over to Susan's house to meet her dad. He had met her mother when Susan stayed at his house for a while, but he had never met her father. Susan's dad wanted to meet him so he knew who'd she be staying with for the next week (remember that when Susan stayed at Bastions' house, he didn't know.)

Bastion knocked on Susan's door and waited before Susan opened the door and greeted him with a hug.

"So," she started, "this is my dad." Susan's dad walked up to the two and slightly forced a smile. Bastion was surprised. Her dad was much...Shorter than he imagined.

"Hello, Bastion," he said, shaking Bastion's hand firmly. Bastion smiled.

"Uh, hello, sir. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"The pleasure is mine. Please, come and have a seat." Bastion and Susan sat on the couch, and Susan's dad sat at a chair next to the couch.

"Susan, could you be a doll and fetch us some water?"

"Yes, dad." Susan stood and left the room.

"So..." He started, looking at Bastion dead in the eyes. "She talks about you a lot. I'd say you're the only thing she talks about."
