Demona's point of view

Surely this was hell. This couldn't be anything but the fiery pits of inferno ripping me open.

It felt as if something that had been a part of me forever was getting taken from me, ripped from an open wound so ghastly that it might never heal.

I wanted to trash, scream, cry – but nothing came out, not a single part of me managed to move.

Above me, I heard people talking. I heard a voice that I felt I should recognize. Male, warm, calming. Deep inside me, my heart called out to him. I knew him. He knew me. He was part of me.

Something else that had once been a part of me was no longer connected to me, though. It was hard to tell what is was, but it hurt. Like hell.

When the darkness came, I welcomed it like an old friend.

Anything was better than to feel this loss.
