-Luke-

“C’mon it’s time to get up,” my dad said after he stuck his head into my room.

I groaned and rolled over but rolled on top of Lacy, “Luke,” she whined then pushed me off, so far I fell onto the floor.

I groaned in pain and chuckled tiredly before standing up. She’d wrapped herself in the doona and curled herself into a ball. I stroked her head and saw her smile.

“How are you feeling?” I asked.

“I’m sore,” she told me, her voice sleep deprived and low.

“Sorry”

“It’s not your fault,” she said then threw back the covers and sat up.

To both of our surprise there was no blood on the sheets, “I’m going for a shower,” she told me as she threw her hair into a messy ponytail.

“Ok,” I said and bit my lip as I watched her grab her clothes from her bag.

“Eyes up Lucas,” she giggled then stood and walked out.

I smelt under my arm and decided I was clean enough to go without a shower. I pulled on my jeans and tank top before adding my red and black flannel, a grey beanie, a few bracelets and wristbands then put on my black high-tops. I saw Lacy enter the room and we took one look at each other before our faces dropped.

“You need to change. I have no other clothes,” she demanded.

“C’mon guys or we’re going to be late!” mum called causing us to both groan.

I grabbed my suitcase as she grabbed her bag and we made our way to the door. When mum looked at us she cooed and we both rolled our eyes.

“Was this a planned thing?” she asked.

“No and since I have no time to grab another…” I said and she nod before we locked up the house and piled into the car.

We’d just finished with the fans and sat waiting for our flight. Lacy was sitting on my lap and I had my arms around her waist tightly. Every so often I’d kiss either her cheek or her temple causing her to smile sadly.

“You only have five minutes,” she said quietly then leant into me more.

“Guess what I forgot to do,” I said and swallowed loudly.

“What?” she asked.

“Empty my bin,” I whispered and I saw her face go pale. “We should be right though”

“If we’re not I’m calling cheater,” she said and I chuckled.

“I can live with that,” I told her.

My phone buzzed and I saw Ashton had posted a tweet. I pulled out my phone and saw Ashton still stick to old tricks.

Ashton Irwin @Ashton5SOS

Wish my girl were here so I got this kind of goodbye.

The picture had captured me kissing Lacy’s temple. I looked at Ash and he smiled causing me to chuckle. The first call for our flight was announced over the speakers and I sighed.

I hugged everyone but Left Lacy to last. She latched onto me and I heard a few sobs leave her mouth.

“I wish you didn’t have to go,” she whispered.

“It’s only for a couple of months,” I told her then buried my face in her neck. I left a gentle kiss on the skin before pulling away and looking at her, “you’ll be ok,” I said then wiped the tears from under her eyes with my thumbs.

“Please don’t take the ring off,” she begged softly.

“I promise,” I smiled then bent down and kissed her. The second call for our flight was announced and I reluctantly pulled away, “I love you,” I whispered.

“I love you too,” I said then her tears became more intense.

I watched my mum pull Lacy into a hug and I felt an ache run through my body as I walked away with the guys.

“I promise,” I shouted then walked around the corner.

I followed the rest of the boys into the terminal with teary eyes. I felt a hand on my back and looked over to see Ashton giving me a sympathetic smile.

“How’d you do this with Jezzy?” I asked.

“I don’t even know. One of the worst feelings of my life,” he admitted and I nod in agreement.

“Hurry up slow pokes,” Calum said excitedly.

I took in a deep breath and released it before speeding up my pace to catch up with the older two, “just think, six months then we’re back,” Mike said and clapped my shoulder blade.

“Yeah…six months,” I said distantly then began walking down the rows to find out seats.

I was sat next to the window, which I was happy about. The grey sky had gotten a few shades darker since we’d gotten to the airport and a drizzle was being blown against the window beside me. I was going to be 9,442 miles away, a twelve hour flight separating Lacy from me and it broke my heart knowing I wasn’t go to be able to hold her for the next six months.
