“C’mon Lacy I know you can hit harder than that,” Chris taunted.

“My hands hurt,” I whined.

“Think of the bag as Joy’s face,” that’s when my blood started to boil. I punched the bag a few more times and he smiled, “that’s better”

I started hitting harder but Chris stopped me, “awe but I was having fun”

“What made you punch harder?”

“A mix of Joy’s and Luke’s face,” I smirked.

“Still hasn’t answered huh?”

“I should get momma Hemmings on his ass,” I joked.

“I think you probably should. Even if he is busy he could spear a minute or two just to reply,” Chris told me.

“I’ll give her a call later. Any more drills?”

“I think we’re done for today,” he smiled.

“Yay,” Markus cheered exhaustedly from his position lying on the floor.

I watched as he let his arms drop beside him and I laughed. We were all drenched in sweat from pushing ourselves.

“Whose ready to go home and have a nice shower?” Chris questioned.

“Me,” Markus and I cheered.

“Dad I’m tired,” Markus told him.

“Want me to carry you then?” he nod then got to his feet.

Chris draped him over his shoulder and Markus chuckled. I followed the pair out of the gym, waving to the cute boy behind the desk.

“You have a boyfriend,” Chris reminded me.

“It’s ok to look. I’m sure Luke looks at the fans that surround him every day,” I shrugged.

He shook his head with a chuckle, be prepared for cold”

Once we walked out of the door I let out a sigh of relief, “god this air is nice on my body”

“You’re such a weird child but you’re obviously mine”

“Wouldn’t have it any other way,” I winked.

“I feel left out,” Markus pouted.

“You’re my baby too,” Chris teased.

“Yay!” he cheered.

Chris put him on his feet, letting him get into the car. We slid in and I leant into the chair as he started the car.

“So…what’s our surprise?” Markus asked.

“Now if I told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise,” he answered.

I hissed, “such a cliché answer”

“Oh quiet you”

“Are you scared for the baby?” I asked.

“Shit scared,” he laughed.

“That’s fine. But why?”

“I raised you until you were six. I don’t remember how it’s done”

“I can help you two. I raised him,” I said gesturing to Markus.

“Hey!”

“It’s not a bad thing”

“Have you talked to Ash yet?” he asked.

“Not yet. Sorry bud”

“Can you call him tonight? I really need someone to talk to”

“You have me,” Chris said, faking hurt.

“I need someone closer to my age”

“What about Harry?”

“Whose Harry?”

“Ashton’s little brother. He’s around your age I think”

“Does he like soccer?”

“Yeah. He plays”

“Awesome!”

“I’ll give Anne-Marie a call when we get home and set up day when you two can meet”

“Sweet! Thanks Lacy”

“It’s alright buddy”

“Do I get a thank you for teaching you some boxing moves?”

“Thanks dad!” we chimed.

“You’re very welcome guys”

“Love you,” I told him.

“Love you too dad,” Markus shouted.

“Love you too guys”
