As my boredom grew my tapping on the coffee table got louder. Problem with home schooling? It’s not at home, it’s at someone else’s. The woman who was teaching me literally had a waiting room in her living room. The TV wasn’t turned on and I had to save the fifty percent left on my phone so I was slowly melting into a puddle of boredom.
I let out a heavy sigh as I rested my chin in my palm and continued tapping at the vintage, wooden table. I heard the door open behind me so I immediately turned to see what was going on. A girl with blonde curly hair walked in and shook the rain off her coat. When she saw me she smiled then came and sat on the couch behind me.
“You waiting for Anna?” she asked.
“Yeah. John I’m guessing,” she nod then I saw her sink from the couch onto the floor beside me, from the corner of my eye.
“I’m Carolyn,” she told me and awkwardly reached her arm, which was on the opposite side to me (her left hand), over and offered me her hand.
“I’m Lacy,” I said and shook it with my hand that was next to her.
“Why are you home schooled?” she questioned after a while.
“I dropped out not last year but the year before and my job didn’t quite work out so I’m back to get an education to get a good job,” I answered. “You?”
“I got expelled so mum brought me here. No students to fight with I guess,” she said and I laughed. “What?” she laughed.
“That is something you’d expect from me,” I answered.
“Ah,” she said, stretching it out. “So…you got a boyfriend?”
I chuckled, “yeah. Do you?”
“Nope,” she said popping the p. “I’m still grounded so and all the boys from my old school are scared of me”
“Why?”
“The guy I fought was hepatised,” this made me laugh even harder.
“No fuckin’ way,” I said then clutched my sides from laughing so hard.
“Yes fucking way,” she smirked. “Can I see a picture of your boyfriend?”
After I calmed down I pulled out my phone and showed her, “no way! You’re the Lacy whose dating Luke Hemmings?”
“That would be me,” I smirked.
“I love 5SOS”
“Whose your fav?”
“Calum by yonks. Oh my god he’s so hot,” she beamed, practically drooling. “Oh my god please don’t tell him I said that”
“Dude calm your tits. It’s all-cool. Nice bag by the way,” I said gesturing to her Bad Wolf messenger bag.
“You watch Doctor Who?” she asked excited.
“Sometimes. When I feel like it,” I shrugged.
“Do you have a favourite episode?”
“Blink. Definitely Blink,” I nod.
“Oh my god same!”
“Really”
“No. Mine’s The Girl In The Fireplace,” she smiled.
“That one’s good too. Important question. Mat Smith or David Tennant?”
“David Tennant. Duh!” I held my hand up and she high-fived it.
“We are now officially friends,” I told her and she smiled.
“Here,” she said grabbing a scrap piece of paper and a pen from her bag then scribbled a phone number on it, “we should hang out some time,” I nod with a big smile and she did too. “How old are you by the way?”
“Eighteen in November,” I said and she nod. “You?”
“Nineteen in December,” nod and she smiled. “I’m too old for Calum,” she pouted.
“No you’re not. He’s nineteen in January,” I said with a slight laugh.
“But don’t guys usually like girls who are younger than them?”
“Depends on the guy,” I said and she nod.
“What are they like…in real life I mean?”
“They’re just crazy. Especially Ashton. Like holy shit! Never give that kid red bull or you’ve dug your own grave”
“King Hakuwana summons you!” I laughed hard along with her.
“I wanna be in the tribe!”
“You will not be in the tribe!”
“Ahhhhhhh!” we kept laughing like maniacs causing me to fall onto her lap.
“You shall not pass!”
“Look at our new toy!”
“Luke why are you wearing pink underwear?”
“So manipulative!”
“I’m going to ignore you!”
Soon after our quoting fest Anna came out to get me and she was surprised; probably because I was as red as a tomato with tears running down my cheeks.

A/N- hey guys! Sorry this chapter was so late ☹. It was meant to uploaded on Monday but I got sent home from school because I was vomiting and I had Tuesday off as well. I didn’t upload it yesterday because I’ve been swamped with assignments and tests and stuff. That’s why it’s also up late today. But here you go and a new character has been added.
