“What’s up mother licker?” Jezzy asked.
“What?” I asked then rubbed my face.
“It’s from this video my brother showed me. Why so tired?”
“I didn’t sleep last night,” I answered.
“Why not?” Carolyn asked.
“My mum’s made a return and wants my brother and I back,” I said and two of the girls gasped.
“I’m sorry but…” Francesca started.
“Jezzy, please explain,” I interrupted.
“Ok so. Lacy’s mum and dad were married until he found out she was cheating on him and got pregnant with another man’s baby. After Markus was born she started doing drugs until she got hooked. She ended up losing her job because she wouldn’t turn up and soon they ran out of money. Lacy dropped out of high school on her last year to get a job and that’s how we met, we both worked at the same store. After Luke and Lacy broke up for the first time she got hella wasted and the ambulance needed to be called. One of the paramedics must have see the drugs and shit on the coffee table because bing, bang, boom she’s in jail and she and Markus are in her M.I.A. dad’s care. Now that’s she’s finally settled in and happy her Satistic mother decided to emerge from nowhere and claim her children again. So now we’re here and I feel like shit for going through her life story,” she said then shut her mouth and leant against the park bench.
“I don’t know about you guys but I want a Slurpee,” I announced then got to my feet.
“It’s the beginning of winter,” Carolyn reminded me”
“Your point?” she shook her head with a smile then all the girls stood. “By the way. Lillian wanted to know if you girls want to come to her baby shower this Sunday”
“My mum’s coming so we’re there,” Jezzy told me.
“I’m in. it beats sitting around all day doing nothing…or homework”
“Sweet. It starts at twelve so yeah. It’s fancy dress so like dresses and stuff”
“I forgot to say thanks,” Carolyn told me.
“For what?”
“Calum followed me on Twitter and DM’d me,” she said excitedly.
“That’s so awesome. It must have been Luke because I didn’t say anything to Calum in case you didn’t want me to,” I smiled.
“Then remind me to thank your boyfriend when I meet him”
“Will do. That just leaves Michael,” I said then we all looked to Francesca who looked scared.
“What?” she asked.
“I never realised how perfect they’d be together,” Jezzy told us.
“What? Perfect for who?” Francesca panicked.
“Michael,” I told her.
“Michael who?”
“Michael Clifford…you know. The one whose name was on your phone case yesterday,” Carolyn explained.
“You know Michael Clifford! Dio mio! Sai Michael Clifford! Sto andando fuori di testa in questo momento!” she rambled.
“Carolyn?” Jezzy asked, both of us turning to her.
“I’m pretty sure she said something like, “oh my god. You know Michael Clifford. I’m freaking out”,” she explained.
“Lacy’s dating Luke,” Jezzy told her.
“Now way!”
“And Jezzy’s dating Ashton,” I added.
“So your Ashton is Ashton of 5SOS! Oh my gosh!” she said, causing us to laugh.
“Calm down Fran. Take deep breaths,” Jezzy told her.

We turned to Carolyn again but she laughed, “she’s speechless and she’s wondering why Jezzy didn’t tell her about Ashton”

“Well while she’s freaking out I’m getting my Slurpee,” I announced then walked into Seven Eleven.
“Have you spoken to Luke lately?” Jezzy asked, standing by my side.
“This morning. It was just a general chat”
“Did you tell him about…”
“No. I still can’t wrap my head around it and I was barely able to tell you guys face to face”
“I get it. Do you want me to tell him for you?”
“No thanks. I’ll tell him when I’m ready”
“Nice ring by the way”
“Thanks. Luke got it for me”
“It’s cute,” she smiled.
“He has one the same”
“What’s it for?”
“It’s a promise ring”
