Chapter 37- Reunited

“Dude seriously. You’re shaking,” Carolyn told me.

“I can’t help it. It’s been six months and we haven’t spoken in two weeks,” I replied.

“Did you see his tweet?” she asked.

“What tweet?” I asked in confusion.

“Go onto his account and you’ll see,” she told me.

I unlocked my phone and searched for the app I wanted. When I found it I clicked Luke’s name and scrolled down on his page.

Below was the picture Ashton had taken the day they left. I smiled to myself and felt my eyes water. I locked my phone and slid it inside my bag. Everyone was here. The Irwin’s, The Hemmings, The Clifford’s and the Hood’s. Harry and Markus were mucking around with each other. Carolyn had decided to tag along because Calum invited her. Lauren sat on the opposite side to me as Carolyn and Mali-Koa was on her other side.

“Are you excited?” Lauren asked me, a big smile on her face.

Her smile reminded me very much of Ashton. They both shared the same face-eating smile when they were happy and/ or excited. I always thought of Lauren as very pretty. Her brown hair always sat on her chest when I saw her and I almost always saw her in a summer dress and sandals.

“Yeah,” I replied.

“You don’t seem very excited,” she pointed out.

“It’s just that Luke and I have had a very…rough time since the boys left”

“I’ve seen some stuff going around,” she told me.

“Like what?”

“You cheating on him and stuff. But I know you wouldn’t do that. You love him too much. I ca see it by the way you look at him,” she smiled.

“You sound wiser than me and I’m almost eighteen,” I laughed.

She shrugged, “it’s the same way Ash looks at Jezzy. Luke looks at you that way too and Jezzy to Ashton”

“Do you like Jezzy?”

“Love her. She’s so cool”

“That’s good”

“Yeah”

“Ashton!” Harry screamed, rounding all of our attention.

Everyone rushed over except for Carolyn and I. We stood up but stood in front of the chairs. After a while Calum waled over and hugged me then turned to Carolyn. They gave each other big smiles before hugging.

“So good to finally meet you in person,” she told him.

“Yeah. You too,” he said happily.

I looked towards the group and saw Luke standing by his family. We made eye contact but neither of us made any effort to move. I felt slightly insecure under his stare.

“Ashton!” a female voice shouted.

We all looked behind the boys and saw Jezzy running over. Ashton had barely any time to react before she latched onto him. To say I was surprised was an understatement. They kissed for a short period of time before I saw Francesca appear. I looked back at Luke who was already looking at me. He started walking closer so I did to. When we finally met I wrapped my arms around his neck tightly and his arms wrapped around my waist with the same amount of pressure.

I sniffled and hugged him tighter, “please don’t ever do that again,” I begged.

“I promise,” he said back, his voice unsteady.

“I love you,” I told him, still keeping my tight hold on him.

“I love you too,” he replied.

I pulled back from the hug only to press my lips against his. It was slow and full of passion. When we pulled back all I could do was hug him again.

“If you don’t have it on I’m going to kill you,” I told him quietly.

He chuckled, obviously knowing what I was talking about, “I do. See?” I let him go and saw the ring sitting in his ring finger.

“You’re lucky,” I smiled, taking his hand in mine.

“How’d your tests go by the way?” he asked as we made our way towards the group.

“I uh…I got an A,” I smiled.

“Really?” he asked.

“Yeah,” I saw surprised when he picked my up by the waist and started spinning around.

“Grate job. I’m so proud of you!” he gushed.

“Thanks,” I giggled.

“And your mum?” he asked, putting me down.

“I never have to see her again,” I smiled.

“Is that a good thing or a bad thing?”

“A perfect thing”

“You’re perfect”

“I’m far from it,” I scoffed.

“You’re perfect to me,” he said then kissed me.
