Alice's POV

~The Night Before Going In America~
I was so excited, I couldn't keep on smiling. I was going for a trip in only the best country ever accompanied with the best person ever who's out of my family.

I couldn't get any sleep that night thinking and planning every day for 2 months in America.

I was incredibly happy to be welcomed to stay at Angelica's sister, Eliza's house.

They were also going to go upstate and they even invited me, which was, unimaginable!

~12th of May, 1797, 5AM~
I closed my suitcase, took my sun hat and put on some perfume. My father was waiting me downstairs to bring me to the harbor where I will meet Angelica. My siblings were also in our company.
As soon as we arrived, Angelica greeted us.

"How have you been since the last time?" asked my father.

"Really good, thank you. What about you, Jake?" she asked kindly.

"Very well, thanks." he smiled.

Angelica hugged my siblings.

"You grown up so fast, Charlotte!" she said lifting her to the air then she looked at me, smiled and winked.

"Our ship is right there. We must go before it's too late!" said Angelica.

Everyone hugged me in order.

"Don't go crazy with the boys in America." Edmund teased me. And I punched his arm.

My father looked at me and then wrapped his arms around me.

"I will miss you Alice, write me a letter when you're there." he said and gave me a kiss on the forehead.

We were finally in America. I never felt more excited in my life.

We came to the Hamilton's house with a carriage. Angelica knocked on the door.
A maid opened the door and let us in.
We had no time to put down or suitcases that Eliza walked in.
Both Angelica and Eliza screamed of happiness.

"Angelica!" said Eliza.

"Eliza!" replied Angelica.

They ran and hugged each other.

"Oh! My dear Alice!" said Eliza. "You were so little when I saw you the last time!" she said and hugged me.

"I've missed you so much!" I said. "And thank you so much for letting me stay in your lovely home." I continued.

"You're always welcome!" she said in a happy voice.

Then Alexander walked in.

"Angelica!" said Alexander.

"Alexander!" replied Angelica.

They hugged each other as well.

Alexander walked in front of me and smiled.

"It's really good to see you again, Miss Williams." he said smiling.

"It's really good to see you too, Mr Hamilton!" I said and smiled back.

Eliza guided us to our rooms.
Angelica already started to unpack so Eliza showed me my room.

"I hope you will enjoy your stay, Alice. I'm so happy to see you again!" she said. "By the way, I want you to meet my son, he turned 15 on February. You guys were born in the same year but I never managed to make you meet when you were living here." she said proudly.

"It'll be a pleasure to meet him!" I said.

"I'll let you unpack. You can join us in the garden when you're finished." she said kindly.

"Thank you and I will." I replied.

It was taking ages to unpack. I didn't even realise how much I brought here but then suddenly, somebody knocked on my door.
I opened the door only to reveal a boy with beautiful hazelnut curly hair, deep almond eyes and beautiful freckles.

"Hey, I'm Philip, you must be Alice!" he said without any other precision.

"Yes, indeed!" I replied.

"My mother couldn't stop talking about you and how she always wanted us to meet and I thought why not meet her now!" he added.

"So you're Eliza's son? Philip Hamilton?" I asked.

"Alive, right in front of you!" he smiled.

"It's really great to finally be able to meet you, Philip." I said politely.

"The feeling is mutual." he replied. "Can I help you unpack? A little help won't be useless, right?" he offered.

"Well, it would be really impolite from me if I refused your help!" I joked.

We talked a lot while unpacking my stuff and we sympathised real fast.
His manners were as good as his humour.
As soon as we finished unpacking everything we went downstairs and then went to the garden to join Eliza and Angelica.

"Here are you two! You finally met as I see!" said Eliza.

Philip and I looked at each other and smiled.

"Sit down, we are planning out what to do and where to go today. Any ideas?" asked Angelica.

"Maybe we can go picnic outside?" proposed
Eliza.

"Let's go picnic at the Park!" said Philip.

"Sounds good to me!" I said.

"Picnic at the Park it is!" said Eliza.
* * *
I can't explain how well the picnic went. The conversations were full of excitement and we got to tell some memories we had back in England and back when I used to live in America.

It was the afternoon.

"Hey ma, why won't you and aunt Angie go visit aunt Peggy? I'm sure she missed her sister as much as you did!" said Philip.

"You're right son, Alice, would you like to join us?" asked Eliza.

"She will stay with me, I will make her visit the city!" said Philip, he was as excited as a little kid.
* * *
It was almost sundown and Philip did in fact made me visit the city, it was beautiful.

"It's almost sundown. It's my favourite moment." he said.

"Why?" I asked

"Why?" I asked.

"The lights of the city. It's majestical. And what is better than walking around the city at night for your first night in New York after all those years?!" he laughed.

"Yeah! You're right!" I said.

I can't even remember all the topics we had, all the conversations and all the laughs we had together. I was really happy to be his friend.

Philip was exceptional. We talked about everything and anything. I don't know what was better that night between the lights of the city or the endless and amazing time I had with Philip.

I made myself a new friend and already became so close with him!
