--Kalebs Point of View--

We started to walk. 40 miles is going to take a while. "Think theres a chance of finding a ride?" I ask Jillian. "No....I havent seen anybody since I left Stevie......Theres like no cars either" She replies. "You never answered me Kaleb" Jillian says to me in private. "Do you love me?" "Obviously, I came all the way from France for you" "You guys were in France?!" "Yes...we went to Alaska and planned on going to Italy, but one of our planes engines shot and we jumped for our lives. By the way, I lost Cole that day. His parachute failed" I explain. "Holy shit.......Im so sorry" She says hugging me. This is the first time I have said Coles name since then. The memories of him flood my thoughts.

I feel the tears. I dont even fight them, I let them fall from my eyes. The only friend I can say I have known since I was born, and he is dead. This is for you Cole. I will survive, just as you survive through me. I look to the others. "We must run. No stopping." I say to them. They look confused. "What?" "We can get to the airport in a short amount of time if we run" "None of us have the stamina" "Pace yourselves" I say as I start jogging. I hear them trot behind me. Furball is running beside me. I feel tears streaming down my face. I sniffle. I wipe the tears. "No crying......just surviving" I whisper to myself. Thats the very thing I said to Cole when his mother died. He said it to me after my mother died. Those words meant more to me than anything.

The sun doesnt help in our efforts. Heat burning me through my sweat-soaked clothes. "Get onto the highway...it'll be easier to see the airport" Jillian shouts from the back. I look to the left and jog up the ramp to the highway. To road is smooth and empty. We've ran a few miles already and the others are slowing down to pace themselves. I slow down to not seperate from them. "Whats gotten into him?" Stevie asks the others from behind. I pretend I didnt hear him. "I dont know" Jillian responds. "I do, he does this when he remembers a terrible event.....what did you say to him?" Phillip questions Jillian. "I asked if he loved me.....he did say something about Cole though" "Theres your answer...its best to keep pushing on, he'll appreciate it" Phillip tells them. I run faster and they join me. No one lies behind. A smile creeps onto my face for a split second. Where would I be without Phillip? Hes basically the only one left who understands me.

Tiredness slips through me. I stop for only a second to rip my shirt off. My skin glistens in the sun with sweat. We keep running.

--Britnis Point of View--

I see footsteps and blood. I turn to the bridge to see the crumbled concrete hanging. I look into the water and there are jagged cement chunks poking out. "Someone didnt want us to leave" I think to myself. Following the footsteps, I travel uphill. I hear the sounds of people not to far from me. "Holy shit!" I exclaim looking at two dead bodies.

I cant leave them, but I need to find Mel. Decisions. I decide to look for Melanie. Which becomes easy. I hear the sound of a gun followed by her scream. I run back to the car. I take the M1911 and run back up the hill. The sound of people dying is eminent. I run towards the known source of Melanies screams. I stumble upon a house that has the cannibals surrounding it. They speak of waiting for her to come out. I wont let them have her.

I raise the pistol and shoot the first two in the skull. They drop quickly and I run to their corpses. One was carrying a MP5K just like Andrews. I pick it up and look at the next body. She had a M1911 aswell. I loot it and slide the two pistols into the back of my jeans. I peek around the corner to see three more cannibals. I hipfire, clipping two in the stomach and the last one through the throat. Aiming down the site, two bullets are let out into the heads of the next two people around the corner. I notice the entrance is open and I drop the SMG and switch to my M1911's. Dual weilding is a lot easier in real life than any videogame i've played. Through the entrance stand 4 men in the family room. I squeeze the triggers 5 times each and the men drop. I pick a shotgun off one and cock it throwing a shell out. A woman peeks around the corner of the hall. "Mistake number one" I say to her. She aims her gun around the corner and I release the next slug into her shoulder. Her body spins and she lands on her stomach.
