My mother's name is Glory Germaine Cortez. She lives in a small town in Pampanga. Her parents are both working for the Gonzales family. My lola is a househelp, while my lolo is a farmer in their lands.

The Gonzaleses are well known hacienderas and hacienderos of Pampanga. They own the biggest rice farming in the province. Eventually, they ventured the corporate world and left the elder members of the family to handle the farm.

And that's how my mother met him, Robert and Antoinette Gonzales' first born son. Robert Gonzales III. They fell inlove, despite the differences in the status of their families.

My auntie, Faith, my mother's 3rd cousin, llikes Robert too. That's why she got so jealous of my mother, and exposed their secret relationship. One of the reasons why, the two got separated. When Robert's parents found out that their first born son is dating a poor girl, they forced him to flew in Italy to study. That's where he met his wife.

12 years later, Robert went back to the Philippines to visit their family businesses.

Tumira si Mama sa maynila para mamasukan bilang isang kasambahay sa isang mayamang pamilya. Kasama ang ilan pang mga serbidora, tulong tulong sila sa paghahanda ng lamesa para sa isang party na gaganapin sa bahay ng kanilang amo. Little did she know that Robert is one of the guests.

That's how they met again, and decided that they should start their relationship all over again. Para sa mama ko, its a second chance on their love. Robert is her first and only love. Para kay Robert, hindi lang ito pagkakataon para makasama muli ang babaeng una niyang minahal, kundi para nadin makatakas sa planado at perpektong buhay niya na hindi naman siya ang pumili.

Ernesto Chavez is Robert's best friend. They both went on the same college in Italy.

Sa isang buong taon na pamamalagi ni Robert sa pilipinas ay nagkasama sila ng mama ko sa isang condo. My mama wanted to get married, pero naiintindihan nito ang sitwasyon na magkaiba ang estado ng buhay nilang dalawa, at maaaring hindi siya tanggapin ng magulang ni Robert. Kaya hindi na siya nagtanong pa, at sinulit nalang ang panahong magkasama sila.

Hindi alam ni Mama na may pamilya na si Robert sa Italy, ni hindi nga din niya alam na ang mismong condo na tinitirahan nila ay hindi pag aari ni Robert, its Ernesto's property, Erwin's dad.

Maingat si Robert, at itinagong mabuti ang relasyon nila ng Mama. Pero sabi nga nila, walang lihim na hindi nabubunyag. Nang lumabas ang balita sa pamilya ni Robert na nambabae siya sa pilipinas ay napilitan itong umuwi ng Italy.

Robert loves my Mama very much, pero hindi nito kayang talikuran ang dalawang anak nito kay Martina, his wife.

Ibinilin ni Robert pansamantala kay Ernesto si Mama. She still lived in his condo, still unaware of everything. My mama is so naive, and innocent. Walang kaalam alam kung gaano kasalimuot ang realidad ng buhay mayayaman. She only found out that Robert is a married man when he saw his face on a press conference with his wife and 2 kids, clearing his name from allegations of cheating, it is also the same day she found out she's pregnant with me. She'll always say, how happy she was when she found out about me.

Ernesto tried his best to extend his help, but my Mama declined. Hindi nito binanggit kay Robert o maging kay Ernesto na buntis ito.

Umuwi siya ng Pampanga, at hindi na muling nagpakita pa kay Robert o maging kay Ernesto. She lived a peaceful life raising me, hanggang sa magkasakit siya at pumanaw na. Parehong patay na ang magulang ni Mama, kung kaya't si Tita Faith ang nag alaga sa akin, pero pinagmalupitan ako kaya napadpad ako ng Maynila pagkatapos kong makagraduate ng high school.
