"Johnny has thirteen candy bars..."

The bell rings and my notebook is filled with blank pages,
but in my mind
a whole other world lives.

I believe math is a time
to worry about all of
life's real problems
and what I'll be eating for lunch.

The real question is,
who needs math and
when will I use it?
Because so far
the only problems I've faced
have not involved Johnny
and his abundance
of candy bars.
