Watching

When he lays me down against
the hood of the car,
I can see myself falling.
I watch myself fall into his
grasp, where he wants me.
Do I want to be there?

It's almost an out-of-body experience, and this girl
is giving in to it all.
The date was everything she hoped, but she doesn't owe him anything in return
for a fancy meal.
Yet she won't stop him.

When he kisses her,
she kisses back.
When he touches her,
she touches him.
When his hands trail up her legs,
pushing the dress up
to expose her bare skin,
she tenses,
trying to push him away.
But this is what she wanted,
isn't it?
