Hello guys!

Good morning, afternoon and evening! Yes; because some of us wouldn't read this at the same time.

First of all; I'd love to thank Allah profoundly, for giving me the strength, energy, health and time to write this whole book! I still couldn't believe I'm done with Down Hearted; the first book I've ever written in the whole of my life.

It was on a breezy Wednesday; 9th August of the year 2017. I was surfing through the books in my library on this same wattpad! When a though just crossed my mind!

"Ummi; why can't you write a book? You love reading right? Try putting your pen down for once." And that voice from the inner corner of my heart did it! It made me tapped that pencil below the page of this app.

Are you wondering? Yes! My family calls me Ummi too😅❤️ you can understand the kind of love I so much have for my dear Ummi❤️

I became clueless, and the first title that comes to my mind was 'A Dalilin Sanka' and I typed it down without having the idea of what genre it would be. I wrote my first chapter on that same midnight, it entails of 250+ words! Yes, typing was so hard then.

It was meant to be an Ingausa novel; amalgamation of Hausa and English novel. But before I'm done with the second chapter, my mind changed_through a crazy friend of mine called Muntasra❤️ we searched for the right title and together; I named this book 'Down Hearted'.

The journey was hard. It takes a lot of energy for me to write 100 words. But as time goes by, it started becoming less hard. I don't have a single realm about what writing entails, the do's and don't's, the rules and how to be a good writer! That was hard, and I'll proudly call those days my best, because they groomed me well, with so much patience and hardwork.

I started getting worried; because I don't have much reads and my votes aren't that much. I thought that why do I even embroiled myself in this type of art? A voice in me screamed! "Ummi! You aren't meant for this art! You are just writing rubbish, get yourself out of this!" And I listened and listened well.

I tried ending this journey of writing but some certain friends kept me going. They said I couldn't pull back at this level! The first 15-25 chapters of this book are one hell of garbage, but with them pointing out the little mistakes their eyes had seen; I made them better. I'd forever be indebted to you guys.
