She was beautiful,
Though only I noticed,
The scars on her wrist,
But I loved her still,
Even as she suffered,
And thought she was alone,
When really she wasn't,
Because I had the same scars,
Upon my heart,
Unseen and unheard,
Our wounds were similar,
But she never saw her own beauty,
Not like I did,
And it took its toll on her,
If I had one wish,
It would be to bring my angel back,
So I could hold her forever,
And tell her what she needs to know,
And what I tell her every day,
That I'm always here,
That I will always care,
And that she is beautiful.
