I'll Be The Friend You Need

  I see you every day,
Yet I don't know what to say,
Because you paralyze me,
Why can't you see,
That deep inside,
I'm trying not to hide,
How I truly feel,
My heart's not made of steel,
I'm just waiting for you,
To share my feelings too,
But it seems like,
The feelings will never strike,
Because you are in love with another,
While I go back undercover,
Simply watching and waiting,
But it seems like I'm fading,
Into the background,
It's so foreign without you around,
Yet you still don't realize,
That if you look into her eyes,
She'll only break your heart,
Laughing as it shatters apart,
And I'll be there,
Because I'm the one who cares,
I'll pick you up again,
Because that's what makes an honest friend,
And I'll be your shoulder to cry on,
That girl, she's a con,
She doesn't understand you,
Not the way I do,
And always will,
Until the world goes still,
I'll keep by your side,
Being someone in which you can confide,
Waiting until you become mine,
I'll tell you everything is fine,
Because when you cry,
So do I,
Even though you don't see it,
We'll get through this,
Let it all out,
Including all the doubt,
Because I'll be here,
Wiping your tears,
Silently and patiently waiting for the day,
When you say you'll be okay,
And you'll finally notice me,
The day we'll finally be,
Together and not alone,
You and me, on our own.
