The virus has spread to...
A national disaster...
The news reports are all the same. All about the mystery virus. It's spread from Europe to South America. It is slowly heading toward North America through Mexico. Our people are doing all they can to stop people from jumping the fence into the USA. Unfortunately it has already crossed into our borders. It has been seen in New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona.
How long before it gets to New York? Soon.Too soon. People lock their doors and block their windows form this mysterious virus. It is said to be the cause of some kind of drug, though no one knows what drug. You bleed from your mouth, nose, eyes and ears. Then a rash spreads across your whole body. After that, you go ballistic and turn into a cannibal of some sort.Then, you die. Or so they claim.
In New York, we've seen hundreds of these cases for ourselves. You in fact do not die. You become a blood spewing cannibal. Then you spread the virus if you've only had one single piece of contact with someone, and that someone turns into a cannibal thing too.
So it's basically like a zombie apocalypse.
"Sweet." I say as mom turns off the TV.
"Emily! That's not "sweet"! It's a terrible thing to happen!" mom says then sends me to my room.
That's when it happens. I open my bedroom door....to find the zombies tapping on my window. I smirk. It's zombie hunting time.
