The Beast

  Doom awaits,
It sits and lingers,
You cannot escape,
Death's fingers,

Come and see,
A horror so true,
Trapped with no key,
What can thou do?

The creature is feared,
It reeks of decaying flesh,
You know when it is near,
For it sings of death,

Do not fight,
The creature is alive,
It lives in the night,
You will die,

By its will,
You are its prey,
It waits for the kill,
In a tomb you will lay,

It has the name,
Of a jabberwocky,
All its fame,
Is a mockery,

Of its death we hear,
The tale of demons,
And of tears,
He was torn apart limb by limb...

The monstrous beast,
Is gone,
And at least,
Until the next dawn,

It stays in its tomb,
The forever grave,
Facing its doom,
Chained in a cave,

Never to kill again,
Or to cause pain,
Plotting its revenge,
Never to be tamed,

While the angels walk,
Over the human bones,
It silently stalks,
Hidden in the stones,

Bury the past,
Because its killing spree,
Still lasts,
And it is coming for thee...
