"I thought when I came back I'd find this thing half torn into by you"
"Trust me I'm ten seconds away"
Returning from the Mecha lab I toss my tools bag on the floor with a bang, flopping onto Bellamy and I's bed. It's been two weeks since we've gotten back to camp and everything has been coasting smoothly. Abby and Raven are back up and ordering people around- Raven in particular around Mecha. I've just summed it up to her bad leg considering it has apparently more painful than usual to walk on. Her and Wick seem to have gotten closer over these two weeks, flirty looks and jokes shot over the work bench's between me which I never minded since they most likely feel that way when Bellamy comes to visit me.
Ever since Mount Weather fell Bellamy has been put in charge of the entire guard. Yeah he's younger than any of them but his insight and knowledge over how things work down here makes him more then qualified for the job. I suspect that played a role in the decision. Despite Clarke leaving we have remained apart of the decisions which go around camp since we had things running pretty smoothly before she left.
Speaking of running, Jasper hasn't been the same. You can see the depression and angst following him like a slimy shadow day in day out. He doesn't contribute anywhere except at the bar in our makeshift canteen, drinking himself under the table only to repeat the process the next morning.
I can see Monty is close to snapping at Jasper's way of coping. He works closely with Wick, Raven and I in the Mecha garage when he's not on guard duty and whenever we take a lunch break with him Monty doesn't stop staring sadly at his best friend. When we got back Monty tried helping Jasper get back on his feet, all of us did really, but Jasper never wanted any of it. So instead we decided to let him grieve Maya in his way, so long as he isn't endangering himself.
On the subject of endangering themselves, Octavia has certainly embraced the Grounder lifestyle. Dressed in her Grounder gear Octavia would meet and train with Indra every morning before riding back on her horse she's been so generously given as Indra's second. I learned she does her war paint the way she does to replicate Lincoln's which I think is cute in a morbid kind of way. Sometimes I'd walk past and see her training with Lincoln in our training room Bellamy had pushed for. I have to admit, my friend has turned into quite the ninja. A chuckle from me would echo through the training room whenever she managed to take Lincoln down which only earned me a hard glare from the man himself.
