"I think they're just intimidated by my natural good looks and charisma."
"Nope. Can't be that. You have neither."
Following Bellamy inside of the bunker is short-lived. Not because I wasn't following him. No. Because at the sight of Clarke stood at the bottom of the stairs I literally launch myself over the railing of the stairs and around Bellamy who I know was being strategic about putting himself in front of me. "Avery!" Bellamy booms as my feet hit the concrete with a loud smack. Bellamy is too far and too slow to catch me.
Clarke must see the fury blazing in my eyes as I glare her down because she holds her hands out defencelessly taking a step back. "Avery", Clarke shakily begins, her blue eyes red from recently crying "Avery just stop for a second-"
Too late.
Practically sprinting three steps over I don't even hesitate before my fist launches out and slams into the side of her jaw. From the brute force I've thrown into it Clarke is slammed back and into the concrete wall. "How dare you!" I seethe at Clarke as she remains plastered against the concrete wall, hand on her jaw which is certainly going to become so blue it'll match her eyes. Ignoring the pain that flairs through my fist from the punch, I point my finger right at her "You knew we were up there and still you locked us out! You knew I was up there!"
"Avery back up", Bellamy sternly orders me, getting in the few feet of space between Clarke and I "Avery." Gritting my teeth I take a step back, Bellamy pushing slightly against me to move further. Silently glaring I spin to retreat further into the bunker and cool off. If not I'll murder her right here on the spot. Shaking my head as I leave.
"I made the best decision at the time for my people-"
"YOUR PEOPLE!", I yell utterly shocked. Shoving back against Bellamy his arms latch around my waist. The only thing restraining me as I shove against him to get to Clarke. Furious at her nerve I shove hard on Bellamy's chest, gritting "Calm down I won't hit her again." Stepping around him I sense Bellamy shadowing me as I close back in on Clarke. She doesn't move a muscle as I grow nearer. Clarke stares back at me with tearful eyes and a face which looks like she's keeping it together by the skin of her teeth. Good. She should be scared. Becoming eerily quiet, I say utterly hurt "I thought I was your people?" Clarke's mouth tries to form the words but nothing comes out. She looks like some gapping lost fish trying to breathe above water. Giving a small shake of my head I remind her, my voice so clear and sharp it could cut glass "Who the hell had your back Clarke since the second we landed on the ground in that Dropship? Who went with you to find Jasper? Who spent days upon days when we first got down here trying to work those stupid wristbands into radio so you could contact the Ark?"
