The further we trek into the forest the bumpier it gets. Not many must travel this far out since there are no visible trails that Grounder traders may take. Gasping when we almost hit a tree I glance over to Bellamy, "You know turning the wheel will actually help you avoid the trees."
Visibly Bellamy rolls his eyes, "Oh I was hoping you'd say that." A smirk takes form on his lips when he hears me laughing. Despite looking back out of my window I feel his hand snake onto my thigh, warming the place underneath his hand. Reaching down I place mine atop of his, twisting some of my fingers under his.
"It's been an hour since we passed the plane wreckage", Jasper complains from the back with Octavia and Clarke "Seeing as we are using a map with no distances it could be days before we reach Luna's village."
"At least we know we are going in the right direction", Bellamy states from beside me.
"Why so pessimistic now?" I throw back to Jasper, twisting in my seat to get a better look at him "You got somewhere better to be?"
With an unimpressed look, Jasper gestures for me to look outside "We're running out of daylight Ave. We should stop in the sun and recharge the rover's battery."
"What sun?" Clarke gloomily throws at him, her eyes trained out the slated window. Rolling my eyes I share an irritated look with Bellamy before I return to staring out the windshield, his hand giving my thigh a supportive squeeze as he navigates through the forest. "We keep going until the battery dies", Clarke informs all of us clearly.
"We keep going until we get to Luna", Octavia clarifies.
"This her?" Jasper poses to Octavia.
I don't bother turning around when Octavia replies with a blatant "Yes."
Continuing to ramble Jasper wonders "What do you think she is going to say when we show up asking to put an AI in her head?"
When all of us are silent, Octavia mutters bleakly "Lincoln said she helps those who are in trouble. She'll help us too."
